why do you think people do that?
when someone says "liberals" or "conservatives" .. blah blah blah they mean the people who tend to support the liberal viewpoint tend to.. blah blah blah. It makes it easier and quicker to make a point.
I think if they wanted to say ALL liberals or ALL conservatives they would use the word ALL in there. It is just an average position thing.. it is never meant to mean ALL without exception.
I think taking exception to the use of those terms is merely hiding from defending whatever position those collectives support.
I think it's a good idea - there's plenty of places to interact with political idiots - a Rutgers football board should be a football board.
