And once the game stops because someone in the crowd is having a verbal altercation with a player they should be removed.

People are showing up to see the players, not people showing up to argue with the players.

If he truly cares about women he would be trying to help grow their game, not pulling a publicity stunt to “fix” a problem that doesn’t exist.

The guy is a side show, a circus, a clown.
Regardless of how you feel about what he's doing, she's the one that messed up. Pretty much rule #1 of any sporting event for athletes is to not engage the crowd, no matter how stupid the crowd is acting.

Also a fair take. But when something like that goes down, unless she physically assaults someone, she stays and the distraction goes.

I don't have an issue with him getting asked to leave but she should have been ejected immediately. This wouldn't be a story if she acted like 99% of professional athletes act by ignoring the crowd. Wants to be treated like other professional athletes but then acts like a child. Hilarious

Luckiest person from all this is Carrington because nobody is talking about what a clown she made herself out to be again last night.

Nah she’s getting roasted all over social media too for that 8/23 tweet 😂

He has the right to go wherever he/she wants. Cloud is the nutcase. Yeah I'm not surprised with some taking the w's side too unfortunately
Oh NO. Remember, the WNBA IS ALL about "inclusion", lolol. Sure they are ;)

Okay. Lets go there.People keep saying, why do people want to "fix a problem that doesn't exist" Correct? So, please tell me Why the IOC in charge of ALL international competition, the NCAA, and pretty much every other women's professional league has but in place "ONLY biological females will be allowed to participate". Why has basically every other governing body seen fit to address this as an issue worthy of a firm "this is the line" rule, but the WNBA as always lags behind in taking an actual (and frankly easy and concise) stance. Why?

Kanter started all this weeks ago. Don’t act like his intentions are anything more than bringing attention to himself.
Frankly, I have no idea what his intentions are, and I'm pretty sure your speculating. My only interest in any of this nonsense is that the WNBA would finally take a stance similar to what the IOC, NCAA, and other pro leagues have already taken. Only biological females allowed in the women's game. Why is that such an issue here? They had a "summit meeting" with the team presidents, and GM's about this last week, and came out the same way they went in, dragging their feet. Its ridiculous.

And what is YOUR issue. It matters because these type of decisions affect future female athletes. Having three sons growing up, it probably wouldn't have mattered at all personally. Now having 4 granddaughters , three of whom are active in athletics, I certainly have a different view of this issue. You'd have to pretty darn naive to not see that these decisions by the IOC, NCAA, and local high schools, (as well as pro leagues) DO in fact have a long reaching effect on young women. Just keep those blinders on though......

You live in Missouri. How many of your granddaughters are playing against biological boys? And when they all make the W it will probably be taken care of by then. 🤞

Lolol.. As usual you guys keep jumping over the question. WHY has EVERY other governing body seen fit to address this, and not the W? Where my granddaughters play ( I have no illusion they'll be pros) has nothing to do with anything. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you know that. Its an issue of fairness. While the W parades around as a league who champions WOMEN they're the only league or governing body who has refused to address the issue simply because they don't want to be told what to do.

But, but, but, the turnovers.
Everyone bitches about her turnovers. She finished with 10 assists and 5 turnovers.

The point guard on the other team, Cloud, finished with 7 assists and 4 turnovers. Yet not a peep complaining about her.

Plus, as has been repeated ad nauseum on here, many of her turnovers are the result of her teammates’ bad hands. At least 2 passes last night hit her teammates in the hands and they didn’t catch them. If just one of those on average per game gets eliminated, the story would be very different. 3.6/game instead of the current 4.6. Plus if one more missed layup per game gets converted she’s at 9.3 assists per game. Those numbers would be epic to go with her scoring.

l honesty I fail to see why this is funny. Because someone thinks this is an issue (as EVERY other governing body has), that needs to be addressed and yet your stance is its never been a problem. Again, WHY did the IOC, NCAA, and other pro leagues address this NON issue?

While Sky certainly aren't an elite team, tonite's game proves Boston can be upgraded on.

Trade her while she still has a little value.
Boston isn’t a problem. It is the coach’s use of her. She’s taking almost 3 3pt attempts per game this season. She should be taking at most 1 per game to keep the defense on her honest, but other than that should be running pick and roll and grabbing offensive rebounds. Her offensive rebounding numbers and FG% are down and her turnovers are up because of the way that White is trying to use her this season. All of those are career worst numbers for her.

Keep her down low and let Clark cook on offense. Clark will get hers but she will also get KM and Boston theirs.

I will agree though, her contract is overpaying for her by probably 10%. Especially if she can’t get and stay healthy because of an injury in her “offseason league”.

Keeping her with White's strategy isn't a recipe for long term success, imo.

My point then becomes...SW or AB???

She's shooting almost 42% from 3...if anything she should be taking more.

Enes Kanter showed up to a WNBA game with a t-shirt advocating the majority opinion in the transgender debate. He would have not even have appeared on camera except for a nut-job player accosting him.

Flashback just a few weeks ago and Cheryl Reeve appears on the SIDELINES wearing a t-shirt reflecting the minority opinion.

Is Reeve an instigator? Should she have been tossed?

Reeve was paid to be there. She did nothing but coach. Kanter paid to show up after making attention seeking claims that he’s entering their draft and got in a verbal fight with a player.

Oh my gosh. This is the most lazy and misleading take that's been floating around lately.

Kanter has been advocating for freedom and human rights ever since he emigrated from Turkey which he did not enjoy there. He has been vocal against many oppressive governments.

His advocacy did not start with this one issue in a self-serving way.

To me what you are saying makes the Reeve situation worse.

Yes, she is being paid to be there and is in fact working for the WNBA and at the same time advocating for a social-political cause.

The entirety of the WNBA would do better to focus on basketball rather than being an "activist league" which they admit to being.

You think it's worse that a person wearing a t shirt to protect marginalized youth and teens is worse than a man showing up to cause a scene?

If he cared so much about protecting women, why is he there arguing with them?

So that is obviously your characterization of what you think her shirt conveyed. A vast swath of this country thinks "gender affirming care" is not appropriate for minors.

REGARDLESS, it doesn't matter the specific interpretations we may assign to the two t-shirts, they each were in response to what Sophie said, one for and one against.

Again there would be no scene except for the nutjob accosting him. Incidentally, I didn't see any Fever players, Sophie included, accosting Reeve.

That's because Reeve had a civil discussion with Sophie, whether or not Sophie agreed or not.

Kanter hasn't been civil, he's been imposing and attention seeking. Cloud is crazy, I admitted that when I said Bro D's comments were fair, but I don't believe Kanter was there to "help."

That's why his and cloud's confrontations were uncivil and Reeve's were civil.

No, thanks. Ever since I read the piece that talked about how most in that cult school tried to get her to go to Notre Dame, I will always hate those traitors, celebrate they’re embarrassments, and cheer their downfall.
CC would never pull the dumb stunt of introducing herself by saying she was from her high school rather than Iowa. Leave that to some of the clueless football jocks who continually make fools of themselves.

Now that is not exactly true either.

After both teams took the floor in pre-game Reeve approached Sophie to talk about her feelings on the transgender issue.

If Reeve wasn't so damn political maybe she could devote her full attention to her team.

And yet they have Miles with a three times better chance of winning the MVP. Stay tuned. the last half dozen games will be interesting...
Because when Miles has 20 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in a game, it’s considered one of the greatest games a PG ever had…when Clark does that, it’s considered commonplace and also a down night for her. Clark has made the extraordinary look ordinary and that’s going to hurt her in any MVP race.

And I can just as easily say I don't think Reeve was there to "help" transgender kids because what she advocates for minors is opposite what I and most people think is correct.

The fact remains Kanter and Reeve both wore t-shirts advocating different viewpoints but one, Reeve, in a much more conspicuous manner on the sidelines.

Why not toss her too?

Exactly - you don't interact directly. If it is something that deserves an ejection, there are plenty of people in the stands that could verify anything said.
