smh. The WNBA is the governing body who's name is on the award/team.
It's not the "50% fan, 25% media, 25% player All Star Team" It's the WNBA All Star Team
Just like the media choose who the MVP is. It's the WNBA MVP, not the "Media MVP Award."
The point is that I was refuting the claim that the WNBA will never allow it to happen, when the WNBA has given her several accolades in the first 3 years.
I guess, but I'm not sure what they're "allowing" as far as her accolades, especially the all star selections. they have ZERO control over those selections. we've already established that. They're moniker, (WNBA) is nothing more then a function of them being the league. They don't have a vote in the selections. How exactly would they not "allow" her to be an All Star? Ban her from being eligible?
The All Star position is put on by the WNBA. It is a WNBA accolade. Fans vote, media votes, players vote, but its the WNBA that organizes and puts it on. It's a WNBA accolade.

That's like saying they allowed her to lead the league in assists, because they are the league putting on the games. That doesn't mean she's going to lead the league.
The award is Aja’s every year, especially after they had the nerve to not give it to her in 2023.

Disagree. Should she? Maybe, but much would depend on Aja being the front runner, and what she's doing. Its kind of like how you have to beat the champ. I'm a big Albert Pujols fan. Dude was destroying the league and they kept giving the MVP's to Bonds. Al won a few, but could have won a couple more. You have to knock the champ out. It also matters where the teams finish as well. Another reason Miles may be a head of Clark whether she should be or not.
Just from a stats point of view, A'jas 4 MPV stat lines have basically been 22/10/2. Obviously more goes into than that, but if 26/5/10 can't beat that, then I'll openly admit that the world is against clark.
Otherwise, I think Clark walks away with MVP with a 26/5/10 statline.
It's not like she's completely undeserving of the award. A'ja has been on an insane run and she's carrying a team that has about 2.5 other players worth a damn.
She “should” be the easy MVP, but she’s wouldn’t. For anyone to get the MVP they have to be light years ahead of Aja, but then they would find someone else instead of Clark. I don’t think she will ever win one unless there’s a huge shift in opinion of her and her fans.
Where the team finishes doesn’t seem to matter when it comes to Aja…her team dropped from first seed to fourth and she still won it unanimously.

I think many people, myself definitely included, can't stomach to listen to their biased, agenda-driven commentary. Certainly not before or during the game which we tune in for enjoyment or entertainment, at least. They provide the opposite.
The win in Atlanta secured the tie breaker with them.
