So she's is supposed to just go along with the crazies, appease them so they don't raise hell. F that. She was asked by the way, she didn't just come out and say it. But that would have been fine with me if she had. Sic of crazy idiots thinking only their opinion counts

Bigot thinks humans who just want to exist are “crazies”. How do these “crazies” affect your life in ANY WAY?? Get over yourself.

My opinion is that her job is to be the best basketball player and team member she can be for the Indiana Fever. I think her comment right or wrong has created a distraction for her team and an uncomfortable position for her teammates. I'm not saying she should shut up and play, but I do think team members have the responsibilty to consider how their words or actions might impact their team.
Only players who look like LeBron are supposed to shut up and play.

They thrive on it. They're activists who play basketball.

and they suck at both!

remember when CC was about to enter the league and someone commented that for a player to thrive in the WNBA, it helps to be black, lesbian or an activist, but preferably all 3? Well, CC is none of 3. She just wants to play ball. So selfish! LOL

The Fever's remaining schedule is tough. With 14 games to go, the only easy win on paper is the Sun at home. They also play two games against the Sky and two against the Tempo, but all four of those games are on the road. The rest of their games are against good teams.
fwiw here is the top 8's record against other top 8 teams.

  1. Minnesota Lynx: 9-4 (25-6)
  2. Las Vegas Aces: 7-6 (20-9)
  3. Golden State Valkyries: 10-7 (20-9)
  4. Atlanta Dream: 7-8 (18-10)
  5. Dallas Wings: 6-10 (19-11)
  6. Indiana Fever: 6-8 (19-11)
  7. Washington Mystics: 7-8 (16-12)
  8. New York Liberty: 7-8 (17-13)

Not sure why you're saying the W sucks at basketball.

They are the best women in the world at it.

Do you have some sort of point?

80% of Americans believe girls' and women's sports should only include biological females.

And here is a list of organizations (likely not complete) that ban trans girls and trans women from competing in girls and women's sports.

Not included in this list: the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) effectively excludes transgender women from the professional women's tour under an updated eligibility policy introduced in July 2026. This made lesbian and all time great Martina Navratilova very happy.

Pure theatre and manufactured outrage.
It is extremely rare, but it is starting to show up. Minnesota had a situation of a MtF athlete that was the star pitcher for their school’s softball team which won the state tournament in 2025. The kid pitched every inning of the state tournament to win it for their high school. Was pitching something like 58 mph as a freshman in high school. Division 1 pitchers are usually in the 60-70mph range with only elite ones going above that.

I have coached high school girls basketball since the 1990s and never once have we needed to gameplan for a boy. This topic is freaking political theater that’s not really an actual thing. Sorry Riley Gaines finished 5th.

Yes, your ONE unique experience in the state of Iowa speaks for all. LOL

If it's not an issue, why are so many organizations nipping things in a bud by banning trans girls and females from girls and women's sports?

And are you ok with these 3 examples? Yes or no?

(1) In MN, a trans girl (pitching) led the softball team to a state title.
--> The player is Marissa Rothenberger, a junior pitcher for the Champlin Park High School softball team. She helped lead the Rebels to a 6–0 shutout win against Bloomington Jefferson to claim the Class AAAA Minnesota state high school girls' softball championship in June 2005

(2) In CA, a trans girl won numerous state track events.
--> The trans girl is AB Hernandez, a track and field athlete from Jurupa Valley High School in Southern California. She won multiple state titles in the girls' high jump and triple jump at the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state championships.

(3) In PA, Lia Thomas has won numerous swimming events.
--> Former University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas won several individual races during her collegiate career. Most notably, she became the first known transgender athlete to win an NCAA Division I national championship when she won the 500-yard freestyle at the 2022 NCAA Championships.

Besides Gaines' issue, I guess you also missed the girl getting a fractured skull during a volleyball game, or the "boy" who recently won state titles in girls track in Cali, or the girl who just happened to be sitting in the front row in Seattle who lost a state title to a boy, or maybe the softball pitcher from Minnesota that won/dominated the state title last year, or maybe the female boxer who had the sh&t beaten out of her in the Olympics? It is an issue, but you go ahead and hide behind calling people bigots who think differently from you. And this does not even start the discussion about where the dressing and undressing occurs.

After the Lynx game Clark was asked about Sophie's quote and she kind of side stepped it by saying there are people in positions to take on those challenges and her priority is to focus on basketball.

It was a loaded question to stir the pot and I thought she answered it fine, but it was not a good response according to a lot of people. Since day 1 Clark has brushed off those types of questions and answered pretty much every question about the actual game.
It wasn't a good response to the people wanting her to take a side. She didn't so they get triggered. They want to tell others that Caitlin Clark taking their side will make some kind of difference, like, "See! SEE! Caitlin Clark stands with me, and you should too!"..................................

How would you like to be part of the opposing team, that got shut out 6-0? They couldn't get a bat on the ball. I bet the parents in the stands were biting their lips. I bet the players thought it was an unfair advantage.

0.8 % of the population are transgender…… it’s not the issue people have made it out to be….. just another politically motivated hate topic that small minded people get all lathered up over….. nothing unites certain demographics like good old hate

And our government has many more pressing issues to address than sports….. Caitlin was 💯 correct…… who plays in any given league should always be entirely up to that leagues governing body

These things come up every once in a while so that we can find out where people really stand (and where their priorities are).

Case in point, Cheryl Reeve wearing a pro trans kids t-shirt.

She is a woke puke IMO
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but so is the vast majority of the WNBA as well as the Iowa WBB program. Jan Jensen, Kate Martin, Monika Czinano, Raina Harmon are all proudly bi/pan/lesbians. Hannah Steulke and Kennise Johnson briefly dated. Molly Davis and AJ Edigar were a couple for a long time. Lisa Bluder is a democrat (check her husband's IG). Jada Gyamfi is a very outspoken progressive -- especially when it comes to LGBT rights. Czinano is dating a non-binary person. Kate Martin is a vegan. Boogie is a proudly progressive black woman. She follows all of your least favorite outspoken liberal women on IG.

CC22 and her boyfriend are also democrats. He famously attended the Women's March in Iowa City and re-posted the pic of CC22 and Obama with *blue* hearts to his story. If you're not "woke", no one who actually plays or cares about this sports gives a sh*t what you think. You're cheering for the wrong sport and not welcome. Sophie has been one of the most unpopular players within the league for *years* because of her politics and dirty play style -- and that's only increasing now. My guess is she will be cut from the Fever this off-season because a role player should not be creating so much bad press or bad blood within the league. I promise you that Steph White, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell are not comfortable with her position and she will not be welcome back.

Sorry, I laughed because I was just recently thinking about how the term "libtard" instantly triggers anyone leaning left and turns them into Yosemite Sam as soon as they see or hear that word.

The term "maga" also triggers the right to a lesser extent, but the problem is left-leaning people are so angry with Trump and his cohorts that they've been extremely flippant with the term, throwing it at anyone unwilling to side with them or at the very least, publicly denounce Trump and Maga, which to them would also satisfy their idea of "standing with them".

This is where Caitlin lands on the spectrum. She side steps the political question and because of that, some race baiters and liberals will call (and have called, we have receipts........) her "maga" in the most derogatory sense of the term as well.

That's why I say someone being called maga doesn't impact someone quite the same way as anyone on the left being called a libtard. Because people on the left have chosen that word specifically to label anyone against them (and I'm speaking most frequently in general conversations across all platforms), even if those people want nothing to do with anything political.........................

And I apologize, since I'm responding to your post. This is explanation was mostly intended for the general audience.

P.S. what I'm saying is the left needs to find a better insult for people leaning 'right' politically. Call them pub-tards for all I care, but figure it out and do better at identifying who is actually Republican leaning.......and who just doesn't give a f***, and leave THOSE people alone..............unless they're like me and are telling you to leave all politics alone in general because your lives will be vastly better off for it just sayin. 😁😁😁😁😁

Now back to basketball. I got Angel going for another 20 pts tonight against the Aces. Who's joining me on that bet? @AFM22 😃

Just sayin.....

But really though, why women's basketball and soccer, specifically?

Why does what you say only apply to those sports?

That doesn't seem very inclusive at all, which is actually the opposite of "woke" ideology..........again, just sayin. 😉

I get the impression that Sophie Cunningham doesn't give 2 ***** what anyone thinks. Also, the WNBA is an unserious league.
I agree. Sophie could give a damn what people think. The fact that she expressed an opinion that is agreed upon by 80+ percent of the population makes all this fuss fall in the "much ado about nothing" category. Sophie has repeatedly expressed nothing but empathy for trans people.

He's not advocating for trans women in sports. Never has. When 0.8 of the population is trans and then when you consider it's even smaller when you consider athletes it's probably closer to 0.4% as athletes. Of course there's an outlier or 2 and no, they shouldn't be allowed to play against women. But when you consider as someone else posted that there has never in 30 years of the league been a trans player the outrage in all of this is just insane.
