Farm kid? o_O I assume you're leaning into the stereotype of the haters. Clark is a suburban private school student from a fairly well off family. Not sure she's ever even stepped foot on a farm.
WE know that but...Not sure you understand how they view Iowa. I could have said hayseed, point is they view Iowa as a rural backwater. I should have stated that better

Its typical misconception about Iowans. I grew up in the QC, and never stepped on a farm until I was about 11 years old. and then just a few times. (my confirmation sponsor farmed out by Walcott). I did however marry an Iowa farm girl. Her family owns a century farm in SE Iowa.
Half the country doesn't know the difference between Iowa and Utah.. or Missouri

I don't remember the prank, but I'm afraid that is correct. Many view us that way, stereotypically. I believe that once the men's program under Ben gets to a Final Four or higher, we shall continue to be looked at in this light. And, in no way am I diminishing what the men have accomplished getting to the Elite Eight. That was huuuuuge! The bigger market schools (The dirty rats) will see us that way until we whip the dogs--t out of them! :)

People have lost their damn minds when it comes to CC. Just sad that things have gone this far, just because she's a really good player that captured the imagination of the country while at Iowa.

The press and society as a whole have a history of building you up only to tear you down.

Great comments and advice from President Obama too.

I totally understand that's the view of non mid westerners. Even just moving one state south to Missouri, you get some of that crap, and Missouri isn't really much different then Iowa. Its crazy.....

It doesn't help when EVERY lead in to games on national broadcasts is them showing corn fields, (even in the winter).......
