The difference between these two teams is that at any given time Atlanta has at least 3 players on the floor that can dribble drive downhill 1 on 1 and draw fouls and finish.

Indiana has 1.5 total on their roster because Mitchell occasionally likes to place wide open layups directly underneath the side of the rim............

The Fever are in a tough spot. Sure they have a chance of playing better as the season goes on but I don't see them as a major contender for a title. But odds are they make the playoffs so making major retool trades and acquiring some draft picks probably won't be on the table. They really need to identify the 3 or 4 players to build around and trade the others that have trade value.

I would keep Caitlin and Sophie, and trade everyone else.

Including the coach.

Unfortunately I think the front office is loyal to/afraid to cross the old guard and will choose Stephanie White over CC.
Oh god yes, I’m just saying what I would do. Trade Kelsey and Boston as rentals to contenders for picks and players. I guess keep lexi because you’re not getting anything for her.

Not sure if that was directed my way, but I am certainly not turning on her. My interest in seeing her play is simply being dampened by a few years of building frustration with the refs.
I've looked up some of the officials and see they also work in college. I don't remember the Iowa women's games constantly being as bad as the W.

This is about CC and Fever. Fever are 2/3 games over .500 but something just doesn’t “look right”. Rebounding and turnovers are a team issue. CC has every team taking her 1 on1 as much as possible. She gets help initially but the “secondary help “ isn’t there most of the time. With all the motion offenses have these days CC does not move a lot when she one or two passes away. She is getting a lot of assists which is obviously good, but things just are not clicking. Boston, Cunningham and Mitchell have played well overall but as a team they haven’t come together. Still plenty of time. CC is a competitor but her body language is not the best, from my perspective. I don’t think it’s coaching, but some of you will disagree. Not sure if there are locker room issues etc. I just think that they are hard to watch at times and hope things get straightened out soon.
My two cents, it almost ALL comes back to poor roster construction. Boston is a 4 playing the 5. They have NO center on the team, and every team with any size brutalizes them in the paint. If anyone gets by CC or Mitchell there's no help because we don't have a rim protector, and no size whatsoever. Billings is a role player at best, as is Hines-Allen, barely. Neither can effectively step in if Boston rests or gets in foul trouble. Dantas does absolutely nothing for the team on either end. Timpson can jump and block an occasional shot, but she gets a foul/min played and has NO offensive skill whatsoever. Basically this team is three All stars and a couple of decent role players in Sophie and Lexie. Raven may end up being a decent player but lacks consistency at this point and you can tell White doesn't trust her by her minutes. Harris needs to retire.

To your point, if Indy traded for Cardozo, and slid Boston to the 4 that could work…

In principle yes. Unfortunately it seems like someone needs to light a fire under her backside. Staley would get in her A-- on occasion. It was Cardosa that she would Yell, "Fight, you have to fight Camilla" when she was at SC. It would probably be an upgrade though because we have ZERO post presence now.

I’ve come around to this team just being average. The 4 is just a huge hole on offense, and lack of
Depth depth at the 5 and a lack of rebounding is just not good enough. This is a failure of the front office. R
And, as if the FO wasn't bad enough, I'm of the firm belief that SW would screw up the rotations even after the upgrades. I have no confidence in her ability to coach. None at this stage.
