always entertaining coming here after the game and reading the game thread ….. I did all my bitching off the record….. the Fever are good at almost making you feel bad about a win
It's basic math, basically, it's bad math. How do they have a winning record if they've blown every lead they had?
Bob.....CCs face fouled Bill's elbo.
6 turn overs : (Clark- 25 pts 5 ast 3 reb
You're not suppose to let them know. Pretend it doesn't happen and it's not a problem.6 turn overs : (
ButchBob.....
"there's a process".Now all she has to do is keep it up as long as DT
That was a great take the other day saying she should abandon the three.CC 1sr 2 3s were flukes. Back to her average
She had four legit turnovers…one was Cunningham’s fault and the other was tipped and SW wasn’t fast enough to challenge it. I’ll take 25 points, 5 assists and 4 turnovers any day.6 turn overs : (
CC22 will not be playing in her 40's I don't think. Between the weight she shoulders literally carrying this league, and the nightly physicallity, not to mention she's already a multi millionaire several times over. Like that famous line from a song,, by Def Leppord, (originally by Neil young), "Its better to burn out, then fade away"? I don't see CC22 fading away, not a Super Nova like her...Now all she has to do is keep it up as long as DT
Please. She had 6 turnovers. She had four legit turnovers…one was Cunningham’s fault and the other was tipped and SW wasn’t fast enough to challenge it. I’ll take 25 points, 5 assists and 4 turnovers any day.
I get the whole TO thing, but frankly its never going to change. People are always going to find fault even when she changes the very dynamics of how the game is played and defensed when you play her team. She can drop 32 and 10 (should probably be 15 assists and someone is going to say "yeah but she had 6 TO")? Remember when pick 6 Rick played for Iowa? Never have we had a QB throw so many pick sixes. And yet we NEVER lost a game he threw a pick six in. The dude was a playmaker. Most here would rather have Stanzi then say Nate Stanley. So which is it? Exciting winning plays or don't turn the ball over. Many here blast Kirk for his always playing in with caution. Fans here want their cake and they want to eat it as well. Play great, be amazing, BUT don't screw up. Clark will always play better as CC22. Pull back on the reins, (Steph White) and you get a less effective version of this generational player. Bluder knew that, and she let her run.Please. She had 6 turnovers.
Not all turnovers are equal. Teammates dropping passes and offensive fouls are not the same as throwing the ball away, but you probably don’t realize that.Please. She had 6 turnovers.
And turnovers in basketball are not the same as football, not nearly as costly. The Fever had 27 turnovers in the last two games and won them both. If anybody else on the team handled the ball as much as Clark they would have 15+ turnovers.I get the whole TO thing, but frankly its never going to change. People are always going to find fault even when she changes the very dynamics of how the game is played and defensed when you play her team. Every professional basketball team in the world would take Clark and her four or five or six turnovers a night.Please. She had 6 turnovers.
The open court dynamic that CC had at Iowa, simply will not be replicated in the pros, no matter who the coach.I get the whole TO thing, but frankly its never going to change. I agree, My point was more about what the haters will say, i just didn't say it very well. And the White FU was patheticShe had four legit turnovers…one was Cunningham’s fault and the other was tipped and SW wasn’t fast enough to challenge it. I’ll take 25 points, 5 assists and 4 turnovers any day.
Sure, but that has nothing to do with my point. The number was 6.Every professional basketball team in the world would take Clark and her four or five or six turnovers a night.
If you look at the box scores on a nightly basis, there are plenty of players that make just as many turnovers.
Sure. Could she be a bit more careful??? but everyone knows the real reasons. She has the ball on her hand a lot. Teams put unprecedented defensive pressure on her and she makes risky passes. It's not rocket science
Not all turnovers are equal. Teammates dropping passes and offensive fouls are not the same as throwing the ball away, but you probably don’t realize that.
Bluder had way more success playing Clark off ball than White has. The difference was Bluder had it designed to get her the ball at the end of the play….in White’s system she never sees the ball again. That’s not the league, that’s the coach. And what future are they protecting, she’ll be gone after next year. The open court dynamic that CC had at Iowa, simply will not be replicated in the pros, no matter who the coach.
Fans need to get over it.
It's a different game. And Bluder had to sacrifice some elements of the game to achieve that dynamic. Not quite a gimmick sysytem. But there are reasons she never had a good defensive team in 24 years.
Plus, if back problems are a reality, then Indiana is prudent in protecting their future. Rounding out the rest of the team, while taking stress off CC by occasionally putting her off the ball, or on the bench, would only make sense. If they were riding her into the ground and she couldn't play again, fans would freak out too
Yet she’s #2 in the league in PER and assist percentage.I didn't say they were all egregious, but they are all "turnovers". You can debate the mechanisms all you want, there are several ways to turn the ball over. If the receiving player can't catch and control the ball, then it may not have been the best pass. You can't just toss the ball at someone's head and say it's their fault.
Rationalize all you want to support your favorite player. Assist/turnover stats are kept for a reason. They're meaningful.
Okee dokeeSure, but that has nothing to do with my point. The number was 6.
You shake your head every time you see someone with many tattoos? Or just Greiner?Every time I see Griener and all those tats etc, I just shake my head.

How many turnovers per game is ideal? Please. She had 6 turnovers.
