You can get up the floor fast even after a make…get it out of the net and go. Clark should not be walking the ball up the court.
They have 44 points w/ 3+ mins left in the 1H. Claiming they are playing at a slow place is flat out stupid.
I remember when they went all in on Reece and did whatever it took to keep her double double streak alive, even at the cost of the team. In the end they came away with nothing from her, just a terribly managed organization.
This has been a theme when the Fever have collapsed. Layup drills by their opponents.
27 of those came in the first quarter…they get a big lead and slow down which is why they ALWAYS blow big leads.
When you have a poor defensive team, you don’t match up in a half court game. I blame White for not trying a zone (which she did two times in the first quarter). If what you’re doing is not working, as a coach you need to change it, not just blame the players.
They got a big lead and then stopped playing defense, It's REALLY hard to push pace when you are giving up layups all over the place.
When your opponent is 2-10 from the three, you have to do something to make them shoot outside.
It is simple, you either have to win by stopping the other team or by outscoring them if you have a bad defense, you have to outscore them…and you don’t do that by walking the ball up the court, and getting your offense set with less than 10 seconds on the shot clock. It’s really an easy concept.
