Good news is that the Fever and WNBA have taken all the joy she has out of her to play basketball. That's what they've been wanting for a long time.
Sue Bird's lack of any type of reaction is interesting.
She always rubbed me the wrong way.

Here, I'll tell you more about why I gave it a laugh, and why it gave me a laugh.
I have no idea what call was even being referred to, so have no comment on the play.
And wouldn't have a care about how it was officiated anyway, because I don't look at the game in that way.
So the laugh was dual in nature.
1. I laugh at a lot of fans for being concerned about and commenting about the officiating.
2. I laugh at the level of fan concern about the officiating when it comes to CC. Somehow every game she's lost in the last 5 years has been the refs' fault.
So, go ahead and make all that into whatever you wish. That's what you guys do

I think Bird has always tried to stay fairly neutral in the firestorm that surrounds CC22. I fine with that for the most part. She's rarely really critical of her either except for some of the same obvious stuff we all notice.
Noticed in Clarks rookie season they don't stay set when they screen. They're pretty much always still moving. Of course some of that is on the recipient of the screen as well.....
I loved it when Hines Allen trucked McMahon...she probably hasn't had that happen very often.

I hope Caitlin's big shot gives her a nice boost of confidence and/or helps her relax and settle into her old form.

I used the fact that I continued to bet NY, in-game, to help show just how far off those that characterized the game as an epic Indiana meltdown, were.
You chimed in that I would earn more respect by posting my bets immediately.
And to that, I asked what would earn respect for the overreacting fans. In other words, even if you strip the credibility that my bets provided, that does nothing to make the overreacting fans' perspective on the game any less legitimate.
Because again, my original point was about the absurdity of the meltdown perspective, rather than my winning wagers

That was actually a bit of a hospital pass. It had no business making it all the way across the court but big *** McMahon was slow getting through the screen and then of course just over ran it. Such a boneheaded play. But again, as a lot of you have said White just loves these grinder games that come down to the last few possessions. Thought they were in trouble when CC fed Boston for 2 easy pick and rolls and she didn’t even hit rim. Cunningham did the same. It’s ridiculous.
Well, the HC is the catalyst. Why have someone's back while they throw you to the wolves? The Fever's ineptitude from top to bottom is all over the place anyway.
