***CC22 and the Fever mega thread***

For like the last 7 years now.
The Fever couldn't hit threes late, but they lost the game because they gave up 107 points.
That was a fun game. Indiana might want to shore up the D. I'm not sure Grinnell-lite is a winning system in the W.
Fever giving up 103.66 points a game. Unless they shore up the defense, they're cooked.
I'm gonna call them Iniana until they hold a team under 80.
I just can’t believe Arike mentioned the CBA and generational wealth and did NOT thank CC.

They won’t win anything if they have both CC and Mitchell shooting 2-9 from three….but it was the first game. Wish they would have done a better job in free agency. Dallas built a better overall team in one year.
Clark is really struggling to shoot 3s in WNBA venues. The defense is always tight. It's not about how closely guarded she is or the pressure of having to work so hard to get open.
She is not shooting well at all in these WNBA venues with the WNBA ball. It's been night and day since she got out of college.
Even with CC and KM shooting 4-18 from three, the Fever still scored 104 points. That should be enough to win every single game.
True, but Dallas is a really good offensive team, but not great on defense so their games will always be high scoring. The Fever won’t score 104 against many of the other teams, so CC and Mitchell can’t both be cold from the three point line on the same night.
Yeah it’s really odd. Last year before she got hurt she made only ONE 3pt outside of home court.
You’d expect a little drop with there being better athletes guarding her, but she’s throwing up bricks when open.
Still a great player but she was Steph Curry at Iowa and now meh

Been saying it for years - Alyssa Thomas is criminally under-appreciated. Phoenix up by nearly 40 over Vegas early 4thQ. Thomas with 20 PTS, 9 ASST, 6 REBS thru 3 Qs. She can do it all, was bringing the ball up the court on breaks too. Probable triple-double if she plays the 4th.
She is +2600 to win the MVP award this season...I think that is one of the better values out there.
It was fairly evident that the Fever would pursue White back to Indiana once Sides was ousted. I hoped they would take a look at Phoenix HC Nate Tibbetts. What is your opinion of Tibbetts?
If you notice lots of the players wear that support thing when they come out.
She made 16 million OFF the court last season, and has several new deals this year like the ones with Lilly they ran multiple times during the game. She'll make 20 million this year easy. I'd call that generational wealth
So is Clark the only one who complains about any call against her? You much not watch other players much.....
Both Boston and Hull on limited minutes and missing their starting Power Forward as well. All of that makes a huge difference. Dallas is much improved and clearly the Fever need to be better on D but it’s ridiculous some of these comments. They will be fine if they can all get healthy. If not, then it will probably be a long season.
Sophie has a deal with Adidas. Her clothes should not cost much because they are so tiny.
Pretty hard not to take it as a dig on her. They ALL cry about every call. That is the context. If not then please enlighten us on what you meant. This should be interesting....
I don't buy the "its the ball" either with her struggling from three. She practices with that ball and we've seen you tube vids of her making 23-24 out of 25 in practice. Her shots does look a little flat. I also think some defenders are doing a better job making her uncomfortable in her set up. Watch that last shot. Buekers knows she likes to take that step back/side step to her left. She over plays her on the left side. Even when she gets Paige up in the air, she has to side step right, and the ball just misses off the left inside of the rim. Just a minor correction but might have been all that she needed to miss by a couple of inches.

Personally I think CC is struggling because of her fear of injuries. She went through HS and college healthy and I think last year got in her head. It's a matter of trusting her body not to fail her. Hopefully a few more games and she'll be back to her old self.
I guess I don't see how a game of 20 7 and 5 is struggling. Hell if she averages this for a season she'll be at least second team all WNBA. It's been one game man
Thats fine AND yet this is not a Caitlin issue. Its rampant throughout the sport in college and the pros. (her last 7 years). I don't see how that's not relevant to your post. Its systematic in the sport at this point. Most of the players and many of the men as well complain after every call against them, AND when they don't get a call when they think they were fouled. Like everything else about CC22 she is over scrutinized and held to a different standard
