The WNBA refs are wretched, but the directive to clean the game up has to come from the LEAGUE.
Not at all sure the League hierarchy is competent enough to do that.
Im sure there will be people (in general) who feel betrayed by Caitlin Clark........Same for my son and granddaughter.
The Fever, Storm, and Sparks all play tonight. A Fever win over the Sky and another Sparks loss to the Dream, both of which are likely, would just about seal a playoff spot for the Fever. A Storm loss would help the Fever get the 7 seed, but there is a good chance the red hot Aces will be the 2 seed. Who would you rather see the Fever play, the Lynx or Aces?
They may feel that way but if they spent a ridiculous amount of money on an event that is played weeks or months in the future then that is a self assumed risk.
Man…I’m surprised some of you actually thought she was coming back. I knew she was gone for the season after that second injury, and the way the Fever and the WNBA deceitfully strung everyone along really sickened me (day to day basically the whole time). I’m not sure I can even watch when she returns next year. The WNBA is just absolute garbage as a league.

Alyssa Thomas got another 10 assists today and has broken CC's season-assist record from last year. Thomas previously had the record until CC broke it. She rarely gets the attention of Napheesa and A'ja, et al, but she's having a phenomenal season, the best of her career, at age 33.
I appreciate them making the effort, the petty b****es they are, to allow Thomas to intentionally try to break the record.

So, Dallas and Washington are 0-17 combined since beating the Fever. Ouch.
Well, that was a pretty nice bow on the regular season... an overall well-played game by the Fever, winning by 29. That locks up at least the 7 seed. To get the 6 seed, the Fever would have to beat the Lynx on Tuesday and the Valkyries would have to lose their final two games.

Good end of the season for the Fever. Of course, the Lynx sitting Phee helped, but the Fever went out and took it to them early and only had one brief hiccup in the second half. Now the Fever are just waiting on the Valkyries to see if they get the 7 or 6 seed. The 6 seed would require the Valkyries to lose their final two games.
The announcers talked quite a bit about CC's situation. They said CC and the Fever tried as hard as they could to get her back on the court, but the ankle injury interrupted the groin recovery, and she was never able to fully test the groin. They just ran out of time to get her ready to play.

If the Valks win their last game Fever are the 7 seed. If they lose then the Fever are the 6 seed.
Dream finish up tomorrow vs the Sun if they win they are still in line for 2/3. If they lose they are the 3.
Aces are 2 with a win or Dream loss. 3 with a loss and a Dream win.
So Fever likely won’t know their playoff opponent until the last game of the season.
The Lynx smoked the Valkyries tonight, which means the Fever will be the 6 seed. The Aces @ Sparks game tonight will determine who the Fever will play on Sunday.
Interestingly, two rookies from Alabama are starting on opposing teams in the Aces vs Sparks game.
