***CC22 and the Fever mega thread***

This officiating is total crap. Not why the fever are losing. They are losing because they can't rebound, can't hit a shot or defend Olivia Miles.
Nevertheless... some horrid officiating happening.

CC continues to be guarded full court and often times has 2 (sometimes 3) surrounding her/guarding her
It really is something to watch
The top-heaviness of the Fever roster is certainly more evident and pronounced against the best teams, and especially on the defensive side. Brutal.
It is wild to watch.
Then after she hits a bomb, they guard even harder than that.
Fever just don't have the roster to compete with the multiple weapons the Lynx have.
The Lynx are a 6.5 point favorite. O/U is 192.5 (100-93 type game?).

Looks like a 120-105 type game.

Everything is par for the course considering the circumstances leading up to this one:
-Fever arguably the hottest team in the league with a 5 win streak
-CC also on a heater
-Away at Minnesota, the best team in the league
-Runaway ROTY looking to make a statement against the face of the league
Like someone on social media once said, the Fever is every team's super bowl. Teams know they get the most eyes and coverage when they come to town. Sadly, the Fever are not a good defensive team and it showed the first half. Miles will do whatever it takes to ensure this is her best game of the year, won't have numbers like this for the rest of the year. Due to CC's competitive streak, she wants to match it, but she's guarded like no one else, making it next to impossible. Fever need major defensive adjustments if they want to win.

Offensively, CC has been fine....4-9, 4 assists, 0 turnovers, just one bad shot (although it was horrifically bad)
Defensively she's gone back to being lazy and not caring except for a few plays.
In Clark's defense.... The entire defensive effort by the fever is non-existent.
For as hard as defense plays Caitlin, you'd think she'd like to make it a little harder for the opposing offensive player to shoot open 3s.
Lynx are unconscious right now.... On the LOUD a$$ rim at that end

I am sick of CC's lazy defense. It has gotten worse since she is getting deeper into her career.
That said, if she has the same half again she will have 22 pts, 8 ast and 0 tos. Terrible game... your hatred for her is crazy.

Exactly.... A lot of what she does... doesn't even show up in the stats.
The "gravity" that she pulls for k opposing defenses.... The "hockey assists". Where she initiates great ball movement.

Minnesota is simply showing why they are the clear #1 team.
