I’m excited. I’m hoping the second half was a watershed moment when white gave in and took Howard off the floor making the fever offense look like the fever offense. If the can trade her and bri turner I’d have them do it in a second. So is no one excited about the Fever's impressive win tonight???
I get it, I get it ... ya'll have the dreaded Fever Fatigue, commonly brought on by EXTREME inconsistent play. I myself have a touch of Fever Whiplash, a similar malady.
But seriously, a lot of positives tonight. Sophie obviously at the top of the list. Gotta admit, was starting to wonder about her ...
Caitlin played well! Except for the shooting, ofc. Otherwise (ok, that's a big otherwise) she is playing her game, dictating pace and making scintillating passes. Shooting slumps happen!
Lid's coming off against Dallas. I promise ...
I had never watched to this guy before but he does a pretty good job of breaking down just some of the bullsh** uncalled fouls on Caitlin. So frustrating.

From what I’m reading, Caitlin is still in quite a bit of pain and it is affecting her game. That combined the scout on her, which is to grab and push her full court until the refs foul people out (which never happens), has really impacted her shooting. 9th best guard my ***. You don’t defend the 9th best guard like that.
No one called her the 9th best guard.

Caitlin Clark the 9th-best guard in WNBA? That's what her peers think in All-Star player vote
Caitlin Clark has missed seven games. If she had played enough games to qualify, she would rank 11th in the WNBA in scoring and second in assists.www.indystar.com
Did you? Compiling the votes, the average was 9th for guards as voted by the W players. Sure, some were higher and some lower - I am sure not every player voted her 9th. But the W players deemed her 9th best. So, they rank her as 9th, but game plan against her and guard her like she’s first, which was my point. Explain my folly.Did you read the story? Do you understand what was being voted on and how votes were cast?
Thanks! I don’t know how one could read the articles and look at the voting and conclude otherwise. But then again I’ve been wrong before when I’m sure I’m right so I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I know he’s a moderator and Tom’s buddy so I don’t want to be too bombastic, but he gives northern vibes from the off topic board where he flames and then when wrong it’s a post and ghost.Agree with this, E:

How do you explain the high marks she received from media and fans?3 Things:
1) There were only 4 slots to vote. There was no 5th, 6th 7th, etc.
2) They were not voting on "Best Guard", they were voting on the most deserving for the All Star game, which is something entirely different. And when you look at the # of games she had missed and her stats up to that point not ranking her very high is not outlandish at all.
3) You don't game plan for someone based on where they are ranked by their peers, you gameplan for someone based on the best way to defend them in concert with how you want to defend their team.
You answered the bell so sorry for the northern reference. No one deserves that, in hindsight. The average score given by players put her 9th. You can say they didn’t vote her 9th but the level of respect/deservigness given was 9th most. So if semantics mean something to you take a victory lap the she wasn’t expressly voted 9th best, but voted 9th most respected and deserving. Yet, they game plan and guard her like she’s far and away #1, which was my point.3 Things:

Today's Minnesota (18-3) at Chicago (6-13) game is at the Wintrust Arena. It seats 10,387.
The United Center, which is used (when available) when Caitlin Clark comes to town, seats double that (20,917).
How do you explain the high marks she received from media and fans?
