Because of CC it has caused me to watach the WNBA more than I ever thought I would. With her and Cunningham out for the season I never thought the Fever would get as far as they have. Party is probably over but they have played well-especially Mitchell. Mitchell has probably played better without CC than with her on the floor at the same time. Does Indiana go Status Quo and work with everyone on the squad as is when next season rolls around or do they try to trade CC (who they would get a lot for) to a team that wants to build around Catlin Clark. Being someone who has seen her play many times in college etc. I hope she stays in Indiana but the success of the Fever makes me wonder. Thoughts?

They will never trade CC.

Trading Caitlin at this point in her career would be employment suicide. As bad trades go, it would be in the discussion with Boston trading the Babe and the Vikings trading for H. Walker.

Well there’s another guy who hasn’t posted in awhile because he’s eating crow on Mitchell and Boston. While it sucks watching without CC it’s certainly made Mitchell a more complete player. They would be crazy to do anything with that core 3. Howard has been a huge upgrade at Power FW, but she’ll be 35. The big 3 are all top 20 players in this league. You keep building around them. While CC is a great player she isn’t doing anything by herself. Adding a few right pieces this team is capable of winning a championship in a few years.

If Howard could just catch the frickin ball she would be awesome. I swear she has hands of stone.

The Fever have done very well without CC. It's apparent they don't need her offense with more than capable scoring from Mitchell, Boston, and Howard. The replacements they've used at PG are all better defenders than CC. So it would make good sense to make a trade with CC where they could shore up their depth at the 4 and 5 positions. I would like to see CC in a Valkyries uni where they could really use an offensive weapon at the point.

Unless the Fever are getting half the ticket and merch sales from whatever team they are trading her to, they won't be getting enough.

Caitlin is the best playmaker/point guard in the league - maybe the best ever. She generates way more offense than simply her scoring average. Your take is dumb. You posted similar stuff about CC a few months ago and got deservedly flamed.

This is crazy. No GM would trade the player who generated the most money in the WNBA's 28 years, even if she were a mid player. And CC is far from a mid player. A PG who broke over 50 records in her rookie year, including single-game assists and season assists, was the first rookie in history to record a triple double (and she did it twice), first team All-WNBA, #5 in the MVP race… and all of this is just the beginning. Caitlin only leaves Indiana if she wants to, and she's not that kind of player. She's not Angel Resse. Caitlin wears the jersey and believes in her team until the end. She loves her teammates and is happy in Indiana.

Your response is dumber! Are you saying the Fever's offense is inadequate without CC? Hardly, last I checked they were just one of four remaining teams in the playoffs. As for the many guards used this year by the Fever, all are better defenders than CC. That's just a fact. CC is a great offensive player and would be better off with a team that needs a talented PG.

Look, I"m not even sure where you're going here. Do you want her to be Paige Bueckers? Be the focus of a team and be the worst team in the league? You make zero sense. CC took an absolute beating last year while handling the ball 95% of the time. Stephanie White was/is trying to extend her career a bit. They've got 2 other players that are legit stars in Boston and of course Mitchell. And while Mitchell has been around awhile she's still only 27-28 I believe. Those 3 are going to be dynamite for awhile. No, she's not a great defensive player, far from it. But she will get better under White's coaching and nobody passes the ball like her. It's the most ridiculous take of all time.

I know CC is a liability on defense but she’s must watch on offense. She's one of the most exciting players, male or female, I've seen in my life. If the W would not let her die on the floor she might have a better start to her career. Luckily she has Sophie now.

CC just has to get her 3s back and she'll be fine.
