When Coach Blackwell was at Toledo, he was recruiting La'Darius Henry and had offered him. Or am I mistaken?
Also I'm sure Blackwell being from same area as Henry helped. Also since Blackwell knew about La'Darius already from recruiting him for Toledo. That probably helped get him on The Mountaineers recruiting radar as well.
Is Coach Blackwell one of the main Florida recruiters? The Mountaineers got more then a few great student athletes out of Florida in the past. Be great to get back into that area since its been a great recruiting territory in the past.
“My technique. I have to put on more weight but you don’t see a lot of tall corners in the Big 12,” he said. “That’s where the money is at. I want to work at corner.”
Didn't realize corners were the best paid position in the Big 12. Thought for sure that would be the QB's or WR's. Also, hope the NCAA didn't see that comment.
I was being sarcastic. Also, a bit (ok, extremely) premature to be worrying about NFL money. He clearly means professionally.

You should understand that for a lot of these players this is their hustle
Meaning that they are playing free for now so they can make millions as a pro
Can't say everywhere but here in Houston and most of the South these players are dreaming about money from the age of 15
A lot of them that I have been around want to play at the university that gives them the best chance to play NFL football
Reason why LSU calls themselves NFLU in recruiting
That's great and all, but 98% of college football players don't make it to the NFL. Therefore, it is better to play the game because you love it than to play it with the expectation that it will be your "hustle" someday. You should understand that for a lot of these players this is their hustle

No. It sounds like the pure, unadulterated truth.
I don't think you understand the amount of work that goes into even playing high school football at a high level
The amount of hours put onto the field and weight room is mind blowing.
You must have motivation.
You are correct that only few play professionally.
That is why attending a school that will help you after football is important.
Even in the NFL for a player who plays 10 years has 40 years of life after football to look forward to
I do not know about WVU but this is why UT has classes for their athletes for life after athletics.
Reason why a top OT recruit Javonne Shepard picked Texas yesterday.
Not sure if that "don't know what it takes to play HS then College football." is directed at me. Just take a look at my avatar that's a Championship ring. I know the individual that earned that ring. I know what he sacrificed and the amount of work he did to be able to play the game.

Lol i must have that guy blocked so I didn't see his post. Now I'm curious what he said, might have to unblock him long enough to read it.
That is not what I said. Please use reading comprehension. He was attempting to say that players do not play because they wish to turn pro one day
Which is far from the truth.
The CB recruit said he wants to play CB because that is where the money is at.
