Funny it wasn't long ago this was the worst team in the Cal era posted by some. This is one fickle fan base. Either this team is winning a championship or playing in the NIT.

0% chance. no one can win 5 on 8 for 6 straight increasing difficulty games . Emmert and refs wont let us win a title with Cal again.

our best chance will be next year with Barnhart being chairman of the NCAAT committee but even then I suspect adidas will pay off a ref to screw us and go rogue in the tournament at some point.

I have to sadly agree. It’s absolute criminal.

They are putting it together and will continue to do so, lead by Nich Richards. We have the pieces, just have to execute. I have faith it’s coming. Cal will get a good laugh at all who say he can’t coach.

I believe we are the far superior team to win it this year. The only team im unsure of is Dayton. It's time people start seeing our team for what it is. 3 great guards and the best big in the country

I agree. Only thing is, can we weather the storm with the refs in the tournament? That’s THE question.

Two very big things to worry about,,....and both of which scare me (and have been mentioned numerous times)......
- turnovers - these are momentum killers, and good teams will make us pay more often than not. Can’t afford them at the clip we have been seeing recently.
- refs - as @Wildcat-in-STL said and @Cowtown Cat agreed above, gonna be really hard to win 6 games with the officiating we are unfortunately growing accustomed to. Shifts momentum, drains energy, and hampers our guys ability to play defense. So what we see, 5 guys out there playing timid.

Absolutely. We’ve seen it too many times the past ten years. Makes me wonder what people are really watching sometimes.

Conference games on the road are not officiated the way tournament games are.

We do have a couple of officials in the tournament that give us problems as well

The biggest obstacles the team will face are careless turnovers and Nick getting in foul trouble (and crooked officiating). The shooting is coming around and the team has developed some toughness. Keep the turnovers to a minimum and keep Nick on the floor and there’s no one this team can’t beat. 2-3 weeks ago I thought our ceiling was Sweet 16. Now I think it’s a title.
