vs Davidson. Going to be a lot tougher than most think.

They can be pesky but UK isn’t going to lose to an 11-loss low major.
I watch a lot of Davidson's games. If we defend the 3 throughout the game, -5.5 is a gift.
But the big question is: will our young kids take Davidson as serious as they did UT?
They’re Davidson. Small, slow, with a bunch of good 3-point shooters. Come on man. I haven’t seen them play in about five years and I know that.Do you think our size will bother them? They are probably a smal-ish team right?

You’re right. Teams never change. WTH was I thinking?
Hey! How’d the normal, same ole Tennessee do this year?opcorn:
I think so. I told you they had good three point shooters. He was pretty small though. He fit the mold.Oh yeah. Didn’t a kid named Curry play for that slow team once?

[laughing]Fail.
Try again. They’ve had NO ONE close to him since.
Now, what does THIS years team look like? If you don’t know. Say, I don’t know and move on please.
Does this mean they are better than Wofford?Quick Scouting Report from a guy who lives in the area - I hope this helps:
Davidson is an extremely skilled three point shooting team (maybe the best one) with a legitimate star player in Aldridge. They are also excellent passers. Bob McKillop is an incredible X’s and O’s coach, with fantastic halftime adjustments being his calling card. They are short and you can wreak havoc on them with offensive rebounding. Besides a 15 or so point loss early and a 20 point loss to UVA, they have played every opponent (including UNC, Rhode Island every time, and Nevada) very close in games they have lost until the last few minutes of play. They are a bit unlucky to have lost as many games as they did.
Comparable Team: I would say the most comparable team to Davidson UK would be familiar with is the Harvard team Kentucky bested during the first round in 2011 en route to a final four. I think UK will handle Davidson better, but their style of play is very similar to that Harvard squad.
Prediction: Davidson plays them tight for most of the game, but Kentucky pulls away in the end due to length and a rebounding advantage.

That’s a long winded version of my analysis. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:Quick Scouting Report from a guy who lives in the area - I hope this helps:

Yeah, but he lives in the area and has presumably seen them play quite a bit. I knew what he knew while seeing no reports about them, reading nothing about them, and not seeing them play one single second of basketball. That’s unbelievable efficiency on my part. That’s what I prefer to read. Really all that needed to be said.
Yes sir. We are quicker and longer, no doubt. Davidson is a system team that runs coach McKillop's offense to perfection.Do you think our size will bother them? They are probably a smal-ish team right?

But if we respect them and play hard and guard the 3, 10+ win is a Lock.
