I like Stanley as a player and a competitor. He doesn't seem like the typical Duke a-hole.

Hope he comes back soon.

haven't seen what you are referring to as that Duke game is on a channel I don't get but they ain't making a final 4 without him . That we be like if we lost Maxey . Also Duke doesn't have near the quality depth we do so its worse.

It's especially awful for a guy whose game is predicated on athleticism.

The good news is, Duke masterfully recruits 3 stars who come and stay and develop so they won't miss a beat and are completely prepared for an injury.

Even though he’s a Dukie hes been fun to watch. Always really like to watch high fliers! As I remember he was a 4 star, very under ranked. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

An achilles would pop.

Just want to remind everyone here that no one, certainly not Duke fans, shed a tear when Poythress was hurt, or Noel, or WCS.

We can all feel bad for Stanley, the individual.. that sucks and I hope it has zero effect on his play going forward. But i wont pretend to be upset if he never plays another college game.

Depth? Who needs depth? We only have 8 scholarship players available.

He was holding the back of the knee area, or low hamstring region. Possibly a bad hamstring sprain. If it's knee related, then he's likely done. They said they are hoping for a return after Christmas.

Apparently he heard something pop. Would a hamstring pop?
It could. On a breakaway with no one around before I could shoot I felt like someone shot me in the back of the leg as I felt a pop like feeling and I wobbled and went down. It was a serve Hamstring pull/tear. It took about a month before it was right again.

That injury wasn't bad at all, and nothing compared to Nerlen Noel as the poster said. He just jumped and missed the layup and came down and slid out of bounds, and got up and tried to jog down the court.
It's a hamstring injury and he will be back after Christmas according to K

Reports are its a hamstring injury. He is getting a MRI and so far is predicted to sit out till after Christmas. I would predict a January return for him.

We aren’t very good right now and this loss (Stanely) will be painful. K has his work cut out for him. K just said in his presser that Duke is NOT a top 5 team and may not be a top 25 team (ouch). Nonetheless, I will be here to take the anticipated medicine.

Hamstring injuries take a long time to heal especially if it is torn or badly strained. Speaking from experience here
