Sorry, did not see your thread. I need to go back to eating road apples.

Cue the Tommy Boy gif.

Thank goodness we're almost past the Covid freebe year. Seriously, this has to stop. 5 year window to play 4 starts after graduation. No exceptions, including for injury or church missions.

OU will start their 5 star qb and have a veteran starting qb (and legacy) as backup. They're fine.

Sounds like he wants to learn the coaching ropes and finishing at dads home with the current staff, he wanted to do it.

Good on him, won’t see him unless it’s on bowl season.

I believe it’s pretty obvious that he was in Lincoln trying to seduce some sort of offer from Nebraska. He would have been a nice insurance policy as a NIL walk on. Rhule seemed to have no interest in him.

Playing for Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas is wild.
I agree. I saw one Sooner comment it was cool Casey played for their 2 biggest rivals and now he was coming home to play where his dad played. I'm happy at least one Sooner still refers to us as a "big rival."

Best of luck to Casey at OU.

No doubt he’s getting paid to do it.
Just the normal stipend that every player gets . It sounds like the NIL will kick in only if he finds the field. That was the hang up here he wanted a guaranteed NIL to come back this year and Nebraska said no.

I don’t remember which former NFL coach said if you’re any good you’re not playing cfb for 6-7 years. He’s not wrong.
