It seemed like Sims didn't have any zip on the ball. Looked like 80% of the speed he should of had. Plus our receivers need to get open.
Who is the number two qb? Maybe he can do better...

Sims is the same guy he's been the last 4 years. The fact that our coaching staff didn't know that makes me question them. Build the offense around his strengths and avoid his weaknesses or lose a ton of games. RUN ERVIN.

I agree on running Ervin, but also give Rahmir the f'in ball. Eventually he makes plays like he did on the kickoff

wasn't run off
Run off vs knew he wouldn't start over the high profile transfer that was brought in. Tomato, tomahto.

I don't blame CT for leaving. And for the record I like Rhule. But he had to know CT was gone if he brought in Sims, so he needed to be darn sure of what he was getting in Sims. And it seems like he screwed the pooch on that one.

Smothers I had my fingers crossed would stay, and even having him would be amazing right now.

With CT coming off of surgery, I think they needed to go get someone, but it does not look like this was the right guy so far.

Right. I get wanting a QB. But you better be darn sure who you bring in will be as good or an improvement. And Sims had been what we saw on his GT film, plus more tunrovers.

Sims had TOs early on in his career but tampered down until now it seems.

Sims has always been bad. The concerning thing is Rhule thinking He's an NFL guy.

I think they see the athletic upside and think they can coach anyone up. But it’s hard to change a guy that has played as much FB as Sims.

HH, on the other hand, has that athletic upside and is more of a clean slate.

Sims isn't intelligent enough to be successful. He is incapable of being a good QB consistently.

Then go get a real qb, not a safety playing qb.
I believe Satterfield and Rhule had other transfer portal guys on their QB board that didn’t pan out if I remember correctly and then signed Sims
It’s not like they didn’t try.
Now we’re in the middle of the season
I say roll with HH and the running backs and put up as many wins as you can and build something weekly on offense

One of the two Ohio St QBs will be available. Just need to make a bunch of money available. Can the fans create an NIL fund or is a shell company needed?

His TD/INT ratio over his 3 years at GT:

13/13
12/7
5/3

Did it improve slightly? Ya. Still not a good ratio. At all. Couldn't find fumble stats.

Rhule thinks Sims is an NFL QB. That's a problem.
Tough look all the way around. That flubbed evaluation adds time to his rebuild.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that with just competent qb play this team could be 2-0. That's on Rhule.

We also don't have a line or WRs

Easily 2-0 with decent QB play. The problem is Sims has always been bad, this isn't new.

He must be a dam good practice player is why the coaches go with him. But also coaches see a kid with talent but has turnover issues coach believes they can change them make them be consistent, just look at tanner Lee he was picked up by a nfl team because he Measured up
