Bad defenses suck against top 20 opponents. This defense did not. But you refuse to use all the information and prefer to focus on the games that may fit your narrative.
I didn't really want thompson's leg broke on the last play in 88.

Mich St is their best game.

Moral victories is where we are now.
Minnesota dogged us with back up running backs
The entire team needs to get way better including our defense.

My thoughts… when the offense continues to make mistakes, especially late in games, the defense, who has made stops throughout much of the game, gets frustrated, tired, gassed, and then some, it’s hard to maintain.
What was the MO this year? Teams knew if they were close to Nebraska in the 4th qtr, the offense would gift the game away. Psychology matters…
Iowa was the beneficiary of a blocked punt and interception in the 4th.
Purdue was the beneficiary of 4 INTs.
Michigan got a late fumble recovery.
Michigan state returned a punt for a TD after zero first downs in the 2nd half.
Oklahoma benefitted from 2 missed field goals and a blocked extra point returned for 2 points.
Illinois got a scoop and score, a boneheaded safety, and another INT.
Minnesota benefited from a stumble on fourth and goal and an INT.
Ohio State I didn’t watch, but missed field goals and late INT.
Wisconsin ran the opening kick back and just stayed ahead the entire game. A game the defense consistently gave up yards.
But according to you, the reason we went 3-9 is because the defense sucked.
Did you watch the games? Did you see the position the offense or special teams put our defense in over and over?

The **** hit the fan due to a shanked punt. Then in OT Adrian threw an INT where MSU returned it to the 22. The defense then allowed 22 yards on 4 plays to give up a 21 yard field goal. That is NOT caving? So, with that said, the 2 quoted lines above are incorrect. I stopped reading at that point.
