I’m tempted to hit Nebraska over 14.5 total points but I’m not sold on Thompson finishing the game. Does Whipple try and hand the ball off more than normal because of not having much depth behind him?We will get a good quarter out of him before he gets hurt running for his life.
thats why I think we should start him in the second half....let the #3 qb do more running to start with..then after wiconson makes half time adjustments and are a lil more wore out, send in thompson to washington and palmerWe will get a good quarter out of him before he gets hurt running for his life.
And tell me what does "handing the ball off more" actually accomplish? What evidence have you seen in games to this point that this OL can move people in a running game against a team like Wisconsin?I’m tempted to hit Nebraska over 14.5 total points but I’m not sold on Thompson finishing the game. Isn’t the Wisky Secondary pretty bad? Why hand the ball off more. If we can pass on them, that’s our best Chance to win, that’s what we should do. If it was like, hey, if we win the Iowa game we go bowling, then maybe. No reason to “Save” Casey now.I’m tempted to hit Nebraska over 14.5 total points but I’m not sold on Thompson finishing the game. Ball out of Casey’s hands equal fewer hits. So, quick passes and running. And tell me what does "handing the ball off more" actually accomplish? What evidence have you seen in games to this point that this OL can move people in a running game against a team like Wisconsin?
If your goal is to shorten the game, that's one thing, just have enough bodies on D to hold up. And IF we had actually shown the ability to run on teams, it would be logical but I haven't seen that.
