in this interview, he also talks about how coaches 'laid out their plan' for him, which I interpreted as, him being told he would likely be the starter or something to that effect. You can hear it at 28:45.. If normally you have to compete with everyone else, why would you need to discuss a plan about it? So it's pretty obvious to me that's what it's about.
Interesting. When I listened to it, I understood it to mean they laid out the plan up front that they were recruiting 2 QBs all along. So he wasn’t surprised when he committed that they were still after Chubba.

Maybe.. but my concern is that nothing has really changed from the formula that got us in this spot in the first place. That's all. It looks a lot like the same, so I'm a bit skeptical, maybe too much. Actually surprised everyone else just takes the bait and runs with it to be honest.
What’s hard to understand and what big formula your referring too..Is it you don’t want him to be running any option plays?

No question the staff laying out a plan for this offense to be as diverse as they would like it to be..

I heard that "Whipple is going to make me in to an All American and I'm going to get paid in a little over a year by the NFL".;)

Time for you to take the red pill. Things are and have changed.

What is nice is that IF it becomes necessary to move his feet, he can do it.

That is how I interpreted the conversation too..

Both Thompson and Purdy must have like what Whipple and Frost had planned out for them and they both were told we’re going after two portal QB obviously because of very little starting experience already on the team..

Makes me wonder why he is working out in Miami and not throwing to teammates in Lincoln..

I mean, if you're going to post a video of yourself working out with a multiple camera crew and all, why do it in Miami?

What gives you the idea it’s a multiple camera crew and not one buddy with a phone?

This was Adrian's weak point, he really never was a leader and seemed to keep to himself. You want those around you to go to battle with you.
that can't be, i heard so much about what a great leader he was, and how much he was like Frost.

He’s transferring to Miami if Purdy wins the job.

He flew some Texas starting WRs down there last summer to work with Stefon Diggs and Jarvis Landry. Not sure if any of his current teammates are down there or not.

so when they say his thumb is 100% healed, does it mean his thumb is 100% healed?

I'm ok with him being in miami...he's needs to help recruit it...

Well, I’d like to think that every guy we recruit is told about our plan, or design, for them. It’s up to the player to come in and perform in practice to a point whereSaid plan can be implemented.

Speaking of Casey's dad, how many here are old enough to remember when he played quarterback against Nebraska in 1987?

Yes. Its hard to believe that was so long ago, and a bit strange to have the son of one of the key villains from the OU-NU rivalry playing QB for the Huskers. That guy had some wheels. Would have liked to have seen a foot race between him, Crouch and Michael Vick - 3 of the fastest college QBs I can remember.

Me of course.. Which was a very disappointing loss and their offense was better than ours..

Both had outstanding defense personnel..

Another quirk about this is that Charles Thompson quarterbacked his OU teams to victories against the two schools that his son played for, Texas and Nebraska.

switzer asked if thompson could do a back flip, thompson said he never did one before, but then did one right then, landed on both feet..switzer was impressed, if I remember right it was before the NU game and switzer was trying to get him pumped up mentally.
