All I have to say is WOW! Once a proud program is now the laughing stock in that area n this is WHY the program is the way it is
I usually wouldn’t post something like this but This is most crazy thing I have ever heard….. Talking about Controlling the narrative in every aspect - I heard some crazy stories before but this one is up thereWOW....
I would assume there school assign a principal to overlook Student Athletes only so but idk how common that is but I’m sure all school someone that overlooks to make sure student athletes are staying up on grades and suchAthletic principal?? I've never heard of that title. Is that commonplace now?
I never heard of a Admin so willingly to push agenda if this was college and a college AD n a President took a bride for a player to play they would be fired or suspended or something like that is crazy to me for a AD/Principal to do at any level. They truly must not care about the kids or athletics they just wanted mommy and daddy ballProbably other stuff going on, but a text message is hard evidence to prove some shady stuff going on. It's no secret that mommies and daddies are always pushing coaches to play their kid at this level. But for administration to try and force their families into coaching staff is wrong.
To me that the only type of person that would go for this Job at this point and it’s only going hurt the program, kids etcWouldn't be surprised if it's a yes man.
Only one that comes mind is 2A East Burke who was 4A but I’m not sure of any othersI can remember Freedom playing at Carver in a 4A football playoff game in the early 90s. Now they are 1A, has any other school gone from 4A all the way down to 1A?

Pisgah was 4A for a while and then went down to 2A (3A now), but I don't know of any others that have gone all the way down to 1A.Only one that comes mind is 2A East Burke who was 4A but I’m not sure of any others
They went down because of West Stokes opening.South Stokes was 4A back in the day now they are 1A.

East Burke is probably the only one I can remember that went from 4A directly to 2A (when Draughn opened). Carver was 3A in the early 2000s. We played them in a couple playoff games.Only one that comes mind is 2A East Burke who was 4A but I’m not sure of any others
West Stokes was built and that peeled off all of the kids from King.South Stokes was 4A back in the day now they are 1A.
Yes, it is one thing if a rural school loses students as some residents tend to move away in search of better employment opportunities. It is just bizarre for there to be a 1A school in Forsyth Co. Carver going down to 1A has nothing to do with Forsyth Co. losing population. It has all to do with a clueless school board and their idiotic open enrollment policy. They have almost deliberately sabotaged Carver HS.We also need to remember that schools like Pisgah probably haven't had a crazy drop in enrollment, it's just those areas are no longer the biggest in the state with the growth of Charlotte, Triangle, and Piedmont. If I remember correctly we aren't but 15-20 years from the largest high schools being in the 2000 ADM range. Now we have schools well over 3000, and some of those are newer schools. We also can factor in several school districts in metro areas consolidating. At one point schools like Elkin and Mount Airy where 3A but that's also a time when every town had a school.
As far as Carver goes, they've just downright lost students. WSFCS should have never built Walkertown. They should have put that money into Carver or building a new high school between Carver and Walkertown.

Anson County was once 4A for years and fallen to small 2A. And only 1 High School in Anson.
At one time you also had Atkins,Walkertown and Prep all in 1A.Yes, it is one thing if a rural school loses students as some residents tend to move away in search of better employment opportunities. Probably Prep and Carver needs to be combined. There is space available inside Carver. But not going to happen. Atkins was only 1A because they were sharing their building with Lowrance while new school was being built. As soon as they moved out Atkins went to 3A. I do believe they draw no community kids, %100 magnet with a waiting list. Just not many athletes signing up.At one time you also had Atkins,Walkertown and Prep all in 1A.
It is poor. First Walmart I've ever seen close because it lost money. There was so much theft, manager said that the employees were just carrying it out the back door as quick as it came in. There is literally nothing to make people want to live there other than family. Sad situation because there are many good folks thereAnson lost almost 5000 residents from 2010-2020. Not sure why as I don't know much about the area.

No excuse for Carver not to dominate in 1a with the athletes they have a chance to grab in a city as big as Winston Salem 240,000 plus... that's ridiculous. No matter what the excuses are.
As long as students can pick and choose where they want to go to school and so many options nearby it will be difficult to build the school back up. Start it up with a strong principal that is about the community and strong sports teams as the starting point.True...i suppose..Carver community needs to srep up....Carver is/was a Historically black school that deserves waaaay better a waay support system and remembrance of what and how good they used to be..It's sad...Just think how wonderful it would be if the administrators and community decided to put Carver back on the map.
