Just your normal witch hunt...nothing to see here, keep moving.

Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page is refusing to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee in its investigation into Russian interference in the election, Politico reported Tuesday.

Page reportedly told the committee Tuesday that he won't cooperate with the lawmakers in their probe and plans on pleading the Fifth Amendment if he does make an appearance.

Page reportedly told the committee Tuesday that he won't cooperate with the lawmakers in their probe and plans on pleading the Fifth Amendment if he does make an appearance.

Page did not immediately return a request for comment from Politico. The committee declined to comment.

It's unknown if the committee has formally requested that Page testify in the investigation.

Page came under scrutiny over reports he improperly communicated with Russian officials during the presidential campaign. He has repeatedly denied the allegations.

The Senate Intelligence Committee has interviewed other key Trump figures in its investigation into Russian meddling in the election, including President Trump's son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner and his son Donald Trump Jr.

The FBI reportedly questioned Page multiple times in March as part of the Justice Department's own investigation into Russia's election interference.

Obviously no & no, nor am I implying either of those. The fact is it's an unverified story with one exception: The Senate Intelligence Committee has interviewed other key Trump figures in its investigation into Russian meddling in the election, including President Trump's son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner and his son Donald Trump Jr. That isn't news, but it does fill some page. Have these unsubstantiated stories ever been proven false? Yep, often.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Carter Page, a former foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, told the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday he would not cooperate with any request to appear before the panel in its investigation of possible Russian interference in the 2016 election, Politico reported.

Citing a source familiar with the matter, Politico said Page also informed the committee that if he was called to testify he would decline to answer questions based on his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. (politi.co/2zcViFP)

It is not clear whether the committee has formally asked Page to testify in its probe of Russian meddling in the election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

Page came under scrutiny following media reports he met with associates of Russian President Vladimir Putin last year.

Rachel Cohen, a spokeswoman for the committee, declined to comment on the Politico report. Page did not respond to a Reuter’s request for comment.

Last week, the committee’s chairman, Republican Senator Richard Burr, told reporters the panel had conducted more than 100 interviews in its nine-month-old probe and planned 25 additional interviews this month.

Those who have already come before committee members or investigators include the president’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner, and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Russian officials have denied meddling in the U.S. election, and Trump denies any collusion by his campaign or his associates.

Is this the same as Samantha Power's refusing to testify over the illegal FISA warrants? Or Lois Lerner refusing to testify in the IRS tax exempt for 501C3 status scandal? Or is this something a lot worse?

Country I'm still mad at you! A few weeks back you boasted we'd all soon learn exactly how the Russians stole this election by colluding with Trump...you said it would all come out. You said it was obvious and said I was too stupid to see it.

So I asked you to explain it all to me since you're so well versed in Russian political operations and speak Russian fluently which allows you to have this insight. And dammit if you won't let us all in on the scam!

I'm just all ears countryroads89 learning what you know, and hearing it in Russian no less! But you are being so selfish.

Thought you were down for helping a Brother out country? I don't speak Russian and you do since you have it all figured out and you won't even help out a Negro in need of your benevelovence.

Just Damn.

Hey @DvlDog4WVU Military capability question for you.

Do we have the ability to shoot N.Korean Missiles launched over the Sea of Japan out of the sky? Suppose they launded a tactical 1st strike against Guam or Seoul? Does our THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) force structure as it's currently arrayed have the ability to take out those launched missiles in flight?

Theoretically...but if it goes to a shooting war, Seoul won't have to worry about nukes. They are within arty range. DPRK will have capability to bring steel rain and level the city before their arty positions could be knocked out.

True. Of course, if they did so, their existence as a nation would then be measured in weeks, if not days or even hours.

Why? We've set in motion moves that will cause them to collapse internally once the hardships prove great enough to drive a coup. The only reason we keep blustering about military action is to hopefully deter them from attacking. I could end up being wrong, but I'd bet the family farm on us not shooting first, mostly because we don't need to.

A. Continue with stonewalling actions and economic sanctions from the UN and specifically China. This will collapse them internally.

B. They attack, they get the **** kicked out of them. They collapse.

No real chance of this regime lasting more than 5 years. We'd have likely done this with KJI but we got mired down in Iraq. Once Korea is done, Iran is next.

Not disagreeing, but does China really want a failed NK? I read a few things a week or so ago that stated China would probably prefer a nuclear NK over a failed NK. Not to be too obvious, but there probably is no good answer.

From a humanitarian crisis, no, not at all.

From a reunited democratic peninsula sharing a border allied with the US, no, not at all.

However, if we follow through with our plans with China, they'll like a collapsed economy, runaway inflation, and massive unemployment a lot less.
