If the complaint has any truth to it, does not look good. Of course, the female should be showing some significant injuries based on what is stated.

I actually think the opposite. Looks like he was trying to break up the fight and injuries the girl in the process. The fact that he was let go on $1,000 bail makes me think he did not injure her on purpose.
