My wife and I would like to meet other Cat fans that live in Columbia SC. We are a little long in the tooth ( senior citizens) if that makes a difference? Been rooting for the Cats a long time and would love to meet some BBN members!!!!! :sunglasses:

Don't think Columbia has a chapter of the UK Alumni Association but the Charleston one is active. I still receive emails from them. That doesn't really help you all that much, I know, but I do know that chapter is planning a trip up to Columbia for the football game. Might be worth reaching out to see what's going on. A good group.

Upstate SC has a chapter as well. Midlands need to get with it!

I'm outside Savannah. Would love to get together with fellow members of BBN. People here don't understand what it really means to us.

We live in Comumbia. Let me know sometime if you want to meet up. We always have a tailgate anytime the Cats are in town and you're more than welcome to stop by!

Hey Brother, Summerville here too.
Long-time Wildcat.

Sounds good. There has to be more. I was driving on post yesterday behind a jeep with a Kentucky Wildcats tire cover. (It was nice.) I'd show up for Cat meetings if any.

Big contingent of fans here on Kiawah Island but no active club except in Charleston.

That's a super nice place. The wife and I were looking at buying there before we built in Summerville. While it IS beautiful on Kiawah we decided against the hassle of upkeep and wanted to be a little farther away from the coast. We spend most of our free time fishing, crabbing, oysters, and clam digging too (In season) among other delicacies the ocean offers. Just walking the beaches or shoreline are a joy we endulge frequently. (It's hard finding a place that's not where a lot of people are.)

We looked at the spot on the left driving into Kiawah. There are some sea items the wife likes there.

We found a couple places to crab. We are not much on crowds if we can help it but are not anti-social... :)

Too bad, I am not an alum of UK, just a rabid fan.

I'm a Northwood U. Alum grad and Texas A&M alum grad......(Diploma's only :))

I sure wouldn't mind drinking a brewski or one during a game with a few Cat fans. (Heck, I'd even buy a round or two..) (If I had to drive a way only one...)

The only crowds here are at the Beach club and the Golf Courses and they aren't bad. Fishing, crabbing and oystering are fabulous and rarely do you see anyone else in the river systems.

If any of you would like to help the Greenville, SC UKAA chapter raise money for a UK themed plate, it would most certainly be appreciated! Most questions can be answered on the website below and if not, the link to the Chapter President is included.

This is not just for SC residents either. Anyone can donate!

Just as I remember it. We took a tour. Just decided not to go that route. (It's a fine, fine route to go but wasn't for us...) You cannot knock the quality of life here. I am amazed daily at the amenities available and also the people. Just plain nice.

Some nice places in SC, coastal plain to the Blue Ridge. Grew flowers in the greater Oconee county area while I was at Clemson. Don't think I'll go back though. Good luck with the plate.
