Here is something I saw and heard that was puzzling to me. During Sunday’s broadcast they showed D1 Baseball’s projected top 16 seeds. Although we are ranked top 10 in several polls, we were slotted in at #15 ???. Notre Dame was shown as #7.
These prognosticators are wishing in one hand and crapping in the other one. At the end of the day we all know what is left. And now we know why ND cancelled our third game in South Bend. Their day will come.
Our RPI is pretty bad though. The team has the opportunities to improve their final spot. Beat UK, win each remaining ACC series (not every game) and finish strong in the ACC tourney. Just what it is.
Well,the loss to W Illinois really hit us hard,even though they looked like a decent club.
Their RPI is 223,fourty or so spots higher than than EKU at 187. Ouch on both of those,but that W Illinois loss was at home.
Plenty of good wins left.
