I also recommend the Somerville DMV (no more late nights but open to 5:30pm I bELieve M-F and 1PMish on Saturday. Just waited about 25 minutes on Wednesday. It was a clusterf*ck parking so I parked at the CVS at the corner of Gaston Ave, bought something inside, put the recept on my front window, amnd walked the 2 minutes inside.
The clerk will tell you if your wife had paid. If so all you need is a duplicate for $5 or so.
Alsao check to see if your wife's car needs an inspection (sticker on windsheld. If she needsan inspection time such so that you are done in Somerville by 3:30PM latest. Then you can head right over to the inspection station in Plainfield (2nd street?) off of Rock Avenue on 22 East before it closes at 4:30PM weekdays. Make sure you have the license, registration and insurance cards up to date and with you at DMV. At the DMV inspection station keep your car Running for at least 10 minutes before the inspecton. Else it increases Co2? emissions and you may be too high and wont pass.
