I could be wrong but I think walk ons also get to vote on captains. That probably skews the voting to some degree.

The point was that when you have 75+ local kids voting, the odds of a newcomer from out of state being voted a captain are pretty slim. It's somewhat of a popularity contest.

Palmer and Thompson. Might as well get some new blood in there. However, winning some games should be a bigger priority than picking Captains and passing out blackshirts. Trot out a couple of scrubs for the first couple of games, and then pick some Captains once it is decided who can actually play and motivate. I really don't give a **** about it either way.
