Grayson has that competitive edge that some of the greats have had. He has had some slip ups (though I don't acknowledge the second trip), but he has taken his lumps for them.

There was never a moment that made me consider whether I wanted Grayson on this team. Never. Go get it young man.

What I have felt and told similar folks since the incident against Elon happened. He screwed up, he knows it, he also knows what will happen bc of it. He's not stupid. He made his bed. But here's the thing, it was and will be again completely blown out of proportion. Don't let the media (espn) and message board/twitter morons behind a computer scare you or make you feel bad for supporting your guy. That's cowardly in my opinion. Learn from it, grow a pair and move on. He will be a captain and I think he comes back with a clear and focused mind.

I didn't realize my feelings were hurt but you might be talking about someone else.. I'd hope but knowing you you're probably super confused and busy with :( :):eek:o_O:p:D;)

Nothing certain in life except death and taxes. That said, Grayson being a Duke captain can't be all that far behind them as a near certainty.
He went through more hell last season than any player I've ever seen in my lifetime. Sure, he made a couple of mistakes, but the punishment he endured far exceeded anything a reasonable person could ever imagine. I'm proud as hell of him, and I'm glad to see him back...even though I doubt I would have had the courage to do it.

^ Those dunks against UNLV!! Wow! He looked like the best player in the country that night. It was such a contrast to the early part of the season where he didn't seem to have much bounce. If Grayson can regain his form, he has a very real chance of being 1st Team All-American. As Grayson goes, so does the team. I expect big things from him.

^Well said OAD, and welcome back! I have no doubt that Grayson should and will be Captain of this year's team, and well deserved. No matter what happens this year, he will always be one of my all-time favorite Duke players. I can't wait to see him one more time in Duke Blue, and I hope he has a year to remember:
1. Just relax and let it all hang out
2. Let us see that big Grayson smile
3. Make them hang your Jersey in the rafters
4. Be a part of hanging #6
5. All ACC and All American

Oh yeah, and let them all know that "HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE GRAYSON SCORNED!

All of y'all are more creative than I was.I could only think of the shotgun when my daughter was a teenager.She joined the military after College and became a hell of a lot better shot than I ever was.I told her I was so proud of her and got her to frame one of her targets to hang in her living room.Just wanted her boyfriends to know that they better take care even if Daddy was not around.lol

When my daughter was born I bought a Springfield trp. Had a mahogany wood case made for it and put it up. When my granddaughter was born I bought my second Springfield xds 3.0 and had the same box made. Both sit in my study on display with a pic of each one when they were born.

You gotta be creative, lol. Point they always see the pic first and say," oh how cute. What's in the box their first shoes or their hospital bracket. Then you open it :)
