Not all of them. You’re forgetting the insurance commercial with the guy in the convertible singing with the hood ornament. I hate that commercial. I’ve seen it thousands of times and I can’t even tell you what company is advertising. I need to pay attention so that I never spend a dollar with the company.

Those are about the stupidest commercials ever (other than possibly State Farm and their "she shed", and the guy with the singing hood ornament). Actually, as an industry, insurance companies tend to have the dumbest commercials of the lot.

Insurance commercials are the stupidest, beating out pharmaceuticals by a nose. The singing hood ornament one takes first prize for being both stupid and creepy. By the way, it's from Allstate.

It feels like most of these stupid ones are just trying to match Geico, which has at least had some decent ads. The gecko doesn't offend me. Also don't mind the Farmer's "We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two" ads with JK Simmons.

The one that I always got a laugh out of was the Farmers one where he’s giving tips and one of them is don’t make it public when you’re going to be out of town. It shows a woman tweeting or facebooking that they’re off to Hawaii and a dude with a black ski mask replies “have fun”.

Advertising always wants to push you to spend more than you can afford, so expect to see Jim Walter Homes commercials
