Give credit to Seton Hall for a hard fought win.

But holy cow what a lousy performance that was.
F that.
What the hell did Pike think they were gonna do on D. Pike has been totally out coached in out of conference play. Frightening how bad. Congrats Pike, you figured out Indiana. But you got totally out classed today. Depressing how bad we looked

Just a pathetic job by players and coaches, especially cliff. Idk wtf they're teaching but my guess is...nothing.

Expected RU to look pissed and dominate, not have a hangover from the OSU loss.

Don’t know which team has a shot to be good this season. WBB will get lucky to win a B1G game, wrestling will be .500 or less in conference, and RU BB might finish season around .500.

Team has good players, just played really bad across the board. At home. Defense was there, but offense was Schiano-esque.

Seton Hall was a tick less abysmal than RU was. Like RU, they’re also going nowhere this year. Though at least they’ll have this feather in their cap.

You just said it in another thread.
Ciff not Caleb
Lol
Might have responded to a wrong post if that was in response to Caleb.
But Cliff not Caleb is meh on defense.
Caleb is great on defense.
Just realized that wasn’t the Cliff thread.
Too many threads going

Pike took the blame but our players were horrendous and it has nothing to do with coaching. Nobody is coaching anyone to throw diagonal passes across the key 20 times a game.

If Rutgers cannot beat Temple (who lost to Penn by 20 last night) or Miami or Ohio State or Seton Hall, then this is not an NCAA team.
Temple and Miami we were short handed. Ohio state we did enough to win. If tonight was the only game I watched this team play it wouldn’t even be a question.

Love the posters on this board. Cancel the season, we're not a tournament team, we're terrible.
Then we win the next three, upset Purdue on the road and we'll have threads asking where everyone is staying in Houston for the Final Four.

Who gives a crap.
It’s the same damn story every year. Look good and then look like crap. Then look good.
Then look like crap. How about making some strides and running a cohesive offense on a consistent basis

It's a LONG season. Many ups & downs along the way. 2 tough losses doesn't tank the season. Plenty of time for more Ws

Every team in the conference isn’t losing to Temple, Miami and Shu. Yes, almost every team is going take its lumps along the way. It’s a long season. But at a certain point, there has to be some semblance of an offense. Is Holloway some sort of wizard of a coach? Everything was taken away yesterday. The perimeter, mid range jumpers, the interior. Everything. We can’t be that piss poor on offense in a rivalry game

This is true but our offensive scheme (or lack thereof) totally is coaching.

Sorry but it has a lot to do with coaching. If you game plan for ball reversal and your vet PG does isolation dribbling cutting off half the court, your players are not buying in. If your players hang their heads feel sorry for themselves and show no resiliency or
matches SH energy, that’s on coach and to his credit he shoulders the blame. Now, coach go fix this and play with the toughness and energy that have become our trademark so time to right the ship.
