Can we borrow the Gopher Defensive Coordinator?!

Question for you: watching the gophers form tackling and it makes me jealous as hell. Reminds me of my high school where you “stuck” the opponent with your hat in a violent manner, wrapped em’ up and drove them back while wrapping up until the whistle blew. I don’t see that passion on our team and have not for an entire game for many moons. Can we rent their D coach for the remainder of the season and/or borrow that effort and mentality? I know the answer to why we don’t exhibit similar behaviors- anyone want to discuss this or give a guess as to why this is not the husker way any longer. Example would be the kickoff in the Fiesta Bowl where we broke the Gator in half with a violent hit and they carted the kick returner off the field if you are old enough to remember or appreciate the glory day bros?!

Maybe their Offensive Coordinator too?

I believe their Def coordinator was fired last year after our game. The new guy has them playing really well. Good example of how if you have better coaching you should get better results even if the talent level is the same.

Why not. I have heard that the head coach should lead the coaching staff and players and not be vested in one side of the ball or the other but instead the team. Gophers look hungry and even Rutgers plays better and with more passion and discipline bros. What happened to the sell out for your team and your state/fans attitude. When 2 and 3-star recruits played like 4-star heroes I ask u.

The experts have spoken!

If Frost would have hired that guy there would have been more flooding from all the tears because Minny hired him from Rutgers and before that he was at Maine.

Have no idea about this guy

Simple formula:

Improved coaching with similar talent should yield better results.

That wasn’t what he was saying full. He was saying that having a good (or better) Defensive Coordinator is within our reach and a possibility and equates it to how the gophers play on defense may have improved in just one year and likely due to coaching. If needed don’t u think we could locate and hire a Defensive coordinator that teaches discipline and technique if ur current D Coordinator is lacking such abilities?

Yeah, lets fire our D coord and hire the one from Minny. So dumb. Do you attend practices? How did UCF have 4 Defensive draft picks to the NFL since 2017? Are you saying players like Shaquem Griffin aren't disciplined? Does your assessment take into account time of possession, like when a teams offense goes 3 and out alot and the D is out there most of the game?

You could always just root for minny.

Sweet!
In his second season, playing as a redshirt freshman, Shaquem Griffin had a brief stint as a second string player on the depth chart before being demoted to third string and then scout team. Griffin attributes his rise in his redshirt junior and redshirt senior seasons to Scott Frost's hiring as head coach for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Writing for The Players' Tribune, Griffin said that, following his winless third season under O'Leary, "Coach Frost came in and brought me back into the light...He gave me the opportunity I had been waiting for ever since I first arrived at UCF. And I took advantage of it."[18]

My comment about the Gopher Coordinator was tongue and cheek to make the point that other opportunities for better coaches might be considered. I don't need to attend practices to make an informed assessment of the defensive play and coaching genius so your question on whether I attend practices is the stupid question in this string.
