Yep....definitely 1-0 vs. OSU in 2016.
However, you DO know that sometimes an inferior team wins a game over a clearly superior squad....oh I don't know....sometimes as a result of a game-changing blocked field goal returned for a TD in the fourth quarter.
These Pedd St. visitors are quite the hoot.

Says the guy who also said PSU is the second best team in PA....behind who exactly? Pitt? Why because Pitt beat PSU? You do know that sometimes an inferior team wins a game over a clearly superior squad? Yes you know that because you posted it.

This wasn't one of those times.
I've seen both Pitt and Pedd St. often enough this season to feel confident saying the better team won that day.
Besides, you guys were LOSING until the blocked field goal was returned for a touchdown with about four minutes left in the game.
Just be thankful you beat Temple this year.

I have a feeling they might beat us after today's annihilation of Purdue. Also, has anyone looked at that recruiting class. If Coach Ash could put 3 recruiting classes like that together we could very well win the B10.

PSU looking formidable. Strong performance off OSU win. Yet, stranger things have happened in sports than RU winning.

Do you understand that Rutgers is clearly behind Pitt, PSU, MD, Syr., and Temple.... and that predicament will continue for you for at least the next several years.

What's your point ?

I think his point is that Rutgers is very bad at football. Not just this year, or next year. But that Rutgers university will never be competitive in the Big Ten because they are not built to be a good football team. Will they have wins here or there? Will they eventually over the next decade make a New Years bowl? Possibly? Maybe? But Rutgers will be the Purdue of the east. Which means they are and forever will be an easy win for those football programs of national relevance. Maryland will be a very competitive rivalry for you. Because fans know that those who win have bragging rights on the other that they aren't the worst team in the big ten east. Good luck on your future 4-5 win seasons. I hope you guys make the Zacksbys bowl every now and then just so that you guys don't go away for good. Your optimism is fun to watch.

The fact that you wrote Pitt then used Pedd State shows all I need to know about your "objective" analysis of the two teams. PSU would beat Pitt by three touchdowns if they played now. You discount PSU's win over OSU but you seem to forget PSU had four turnovers against Pitt and only lost by three due to a dropped pass at the end of the game. Apparently you're one of the few that thinks Pitt is better because they were both 5-2 last week and only PSU was ranked...now PSU is 6-2 and Pitt is 5-3 so the distance will be even greater.

Until Rutgers has a full share of the Big 10 FB revenue, they wont have the resources to have a coaching staff or facilities to compete with the top half of the Big 10 East. With 9 conference games and no FCS games Bowl games will be difficult to qualify for in the next 3-4 years.

They are playing very good football these days. We just need to be better.

Rutgers will be the best of that group within five years. I hope you understand that Rutgers made a conscientious decision to rebuild from the ground up. So it's likely that this year and next year will be tough years for us. Year three we should see some progress. But year five is where the rubber meets the road.

Alumni have to step up to the plate and donate. That's how we ensure we have enough resources to compete. Ohio states staff is fully paid for by alumni. We need to be in the same situation.

Sorry Al, but you're really reaching. I'm hoping Penn State's recruiting class this year is the worst we will see and then we get back in the T20 range. Other than LB, PSU is stacked for the forseeable future. Enough to overtake OSU and UM? Probably not. Other than those two, absolutely.

You are right Al, but it hasn't happened in over 100 years, so I don't expect it to happen anytime soon.

They've raised 56 M in the last year for athletic facilities and that hasn't happened in 100 years. hopefully they will complete the job.

I like your optimism ! See you at the next tailgate, we can discuss it more, lol. Hope all is well.
