Can someone interpret this for me?

Im not so upset abt whether we run 3-4 or 4-3 as much as how we match up with 3+ wrs. I think it was a bad decision to play 4 lb in that kind of match up. I want the next DC to have a strong nickle, dime, peso scheme.

I like Diaco. He's a smart guy, just didnt translate on the field well. And the offense didnt help.

Bob is really quite good at coming up with stuff to put a positive spin on anything.. If I owned a car dealership, I'd hire Bob in a heartbeat if he needed a job. I think he has a real talent, it's just being wasted in the wrong industry.

He has made millions already in his life, he is in the right industry.

I think fans will be happy with 8 wins after what they experienced this year. Whoever the next coach is and I hope it is Frost, the only thing I really want to see is improvement
It was one of the things I considered when I said that Riley has laid the groundwork for the next guy to be successful and have a long run at NU. I think the next guy gets the time he needs to fully implement his system and run a couple of HIS classes of seniors through his system. He changed the tam vs the fans and media attitude. He at least tried to embrace former staff and players. Expectations more reasonable. Admin realizes they are going to have to pay to get a good coach. No more cheap hires. AD OUT of the staff decisions as long as they behave. Lots of positives for the next head coach out of Riley's disaster and on top of that he's leaving some pretty good young talent with lots of game reps. Not enough talent, but some.

Frost didn't have much better luck today with his DC's 3-4 trying to stop USF. At least he was able to get lucky with that kickoff return for a TD with a minute left to win the game..........:(

Okay. Exactly what did I post that was inaccurate about Frost's game with USF? It was completely accurate so obviously you can't handle the truth. I've posted multiple times that Frost's my guy but people expecting a miracle worker need to realize that he's not going to go undefeated next year and he's going to have teams hang 50 on him. It's just how it is.

Yes, Frost got "lucky" that the game didn't go to overtime during the biggest game on their schedule against the toughest team they faced this season, not "lucky" to only lose by 28 instead of 42 like the Huskers.

I don't know why you guys are completely bagging on the defense. The offense had zero consistency and couldn't sustain a drive with any "mental pressure" on them. The only time they could move the ball consistently was when we were blown out and all pressure was off because we had already lost the game.

I actually agree with much of that, NU is now in a position to accept that it will take awhile. What I disagree with is the impression Riley did this program more good than harm, he has been a disaster as a coach and the new coach will be working to fix much of what he has done in only three years

What do they have to fix that isn't readily fixable? I'll answer it. The attitude that when something went bad we give up. That didn't show it's ugly head until after Northwestern and I think it was just because our defense in particular completely lost trust in Diaco.

You may be right but the whole team is soft and fundamentals are lacking in many areas

Confidence in anything they’re being told to do.

Exactly, there's nothing wrong with a 3-4. Half of NFL teams run it and Alabama's been dominating with it for a decade so it obviously works. Just need to find someone who can run it properly like you said using a nickel or dime package to match up with receivers makes sense.
