how Pearl manages to go to a football school and within 2 years have his teams beating us with 3 and 4 star recruits? Yes, the refs called a foul on just about every possession, but we were out hussled and got our asses handed to us on the boards. He lost his 2 best scorers from last season and they still beat us. In Lexington it won't be a picnic either. Nate can't play enough defense to stay in most games and if he's not hitting 3s, then he's a huge liability.

Because Pearl gets his kids to play with INTENSITY even though they aren't as talented.

For the past 3 seasons, Cal has struggled to do the same with SOME of our kids. It didn't use to be like that with Cal's first 7 teams.

The Fox, Monk, Bam team was the last one to play with an edge EVERY game.

Maybe Pearl had a better game plan and had better execution of such? Our players weren’t able to call the right plays tonight and forgot to rebound.

you are wrong about the Fox bam game... they didnt come to play against UCLA or KU until 10 minutes to go and we lost both at home.... so not even they brought it every game.

Coaching matters.

It sure does, and so does $$$$$. Pearl never shuts his mouth for more than 1 or 2 seconds the entire game. If the game is about money, then play the game or lose to those who cheat. But that still won't stop refs from shaving points will it?

It's no secret, Cal is a great recruiter and average coach - other fans have always known this but we've always be blind to it (defending our guy, which is understandable) - Pearls knows how to penetrate us with his guards and his teams play harder with less talent.

Because Bruce Pearl is the best coach ever and blah blah gloom and doom.

Auburn had 4 wins over UK since 16. 3 at Auburn and the tournament game last year. Pearl is 0-for at Rupp since he’s been at AU. I’ll reserve judgement until after the return game.

He wont beat us in Rupp this year either.
Maxey and Quickley both took big steps forward tonight.

Those were 2 very good teams and those kids worked extremely hard to make up for those losses. That team would have NEVER lost to Evansville, Utah or OSU.

This team, like the last 2, has a Ho Hum air about getting out worked.

How bout this. Hey put all the screaming jacked up students on the lower level around the court and let the players feed off of that intensity and noise level. How many points might that be worth when a hated team comes to town?

Not many teams win with 30 fouls.. and when you slow the game down it evens out the talent gap. Its not hard.

they are using college corruption to their advantage and Barnhart is a wuss that wont throw money around like every other good program does.
We pay our coach almost $10 million a year, we have a NBA caliber practice facility, and locker room. Looks like we theow money around.

Having Seniors helps, especially in the middle of a tough SEC schedule. He has four Senior starters. Makes a difference.

The record is 2-2 the last two years, but PeArL iS sO mUcH bEtTeR!1!1

I think some of y’all just have a thing for orange men, considering the Pearl and Trump love seem to overlap.
Say what you will and I am no Pearl fan, but the man can coach. He has won every where he has been with players nobody has ever heard of. That is coaching. Like it or not.

How do you think Auburn got all the calls tonight? They paid someone in the SEC off......... thats the type of throwing money around I'm talking about.

bad officiating or not

tonight was a test we failed.

27 days until March and we haven't won 6 in a row in a stretch that included a decent team yet.
