How is Kaden Wetjen NOT 1st-team All-America "All Purpose"?!

Mentality and maturity <0. So sad...
My guess is it's because he had 21 catches for 151 yards and 1 TD. He was an insanely great asset on special teams, but not enough additional stats to give the AA nod as "All Purpose," which is why he got AA as a returner.
More catches, yards, and TDs would have propelled him up a lot to voters, I assume.

They need a return specialist category. Not some generic nonsense category.
All purpose is being used all purpose all the time. He didn't stand out anywhere but returns
Wetjen accounted for over 2000 yds on 88 returns the last two years.
That is 23 yds per touch.

Lot have designation for ST and returners. This one does not and looking more at the dual purpose offensive player as it looks like this one did and nothing for special teams guys. Where could still make argument for wetjen which my biased opinion would but his receiving and rushing stats weren’t high compared to others.
Did we ever just line him up outside and say run as fast as you can straight down the field and throw it up?
Looks like Kaden isn’t going to be a CAA. Unless he sweeps the last two selectors. It’s a damn shame.
Just more motivation to house a couple against Vanderbilt!

He got the TSN vote. If he gets the FWAA vote, he's consensus. 
FWAA actually gives All Purpose, Punt Return and Kick Return each 1st team honors so he's bound to get one of them. He got their first team Punt Return last year.He got the TSN vote. If he gets the FWAA vote, he's consensus.
Wetjen got one of the first team return specialist spots, so he is consensus (and so is the Texas A&M returner who also got first team for FWAA).
