It seemed odd that the coach of another HS would be giving Justice individual instruction. Particularly when Cam's HS and the coach's HS have a very poor relationship.
What happened with Knott and JBS had zero to do with Elisha.. Happened way before he took over as coach there.. Elisha came to Cam early his Sr year and offered to help him on getting ready for college,, shooting,, and that Euro step I assume.. Elisha is a preacher,, why would he have hate for a rival player,, lol.. But you can't say you fully believed me then run to ask someone else if I was telling the truth,, lol.. It's no biggie though.. I don't mind.. All good..

I know the KCC/JBS history better than I'd like to know. I'm still surprised it happened. I bet dollars to donuts that Jim Stepp was not a happy camper about it.

Actually folks living in in Durham tend to dislike Duke too. It's predominantly a UNC town.

Duke's fan base is really centered in Northeast corridor states like New York and New Jersey, which is also where most of its students have traditionally come from. The place is essentially a Northeast private school transplanted down south.

Finally! It is really difficult to find someone who understands Duke and it's history.

Hopefully Vandy will help earn the SEC some respect and not flame out against poopy out of conference competition.

Had 3 boards and a couple assists.. Ran the point pretty smooth except for a couple dumb turnovers.. Been telling you you'll end up loving this kid.. And hey,, Bill Walton mentioned Hindman KY,, lol..

Bill would LOVE LOVE our hometown. He could find some good stuff there.

He said he wants to go on a pilgrimage there.

Walton is a mess, but I always enjoy him and his quirkiness.

Stallings does a really good job at Vandy. They must pay him well or he would have moved up the ladder. Not saying Vandy isn't a good job but some school where he could get some higher level recruits. He does well with what he gets.

Stallings is definitely paid well. He's a good coach for sure, but you gotta win some NCAA games. This team has a chance. Hopefully we beat Wake and can play KU Wednesday night.

Do you work at the BOE by any chance?

No, I don't. But Raymond Jr. was assistant coach at Belfry when my dad was head coach. Plus I worked with Raymond Jr. and Felicia's mom and went to school with them. Just known and loved them forever. They moved from the Belfry area when Cam and Caleb were little.

I've never understood how anyone not living in Durham could be a Duke fan.

No problem. Easy answer. Being a dook fan fills a void for average class males with spoiled little rich boy fantasies. Vast majority of dook fans that uppity university wouldn't consider good enough to piss on, yet they dote after that program anyway.

But within the town of Durham is not a significant dook fanbase. It is unc. The state of North Carolina itself is well divided with NC State fans. Make no mistake about that. In spite of their lack of recent success, the Wolfpack have a fanbase throughout their home state in numbers much more significant than our rival program has here in Kentucky. The tarhole program does not dominate the fanbase population in North Carolina anywhere to the extent as the Big Blue Nation does here in Kentucky.

Wow this thread went off on some tangents. Interesting for one who you know does actually read through the responses. I of course having left eastern Kentucky at 18 knew none of it. Then again you never really leave. My first post stands though. Vandy is a darn fine school. Pretty good basketball program to. Both loss's to ranked teams. More to the point the guy is getting good minutes in what looks to be a 9 man rotation. I'll take the over.

Justice suffered a really serious groin injury and may now have to be red shirted if he can't go in 2 weeks.

That sucks. He was really coming on and was essentially our co-backup point guard with LaChance. This one hurts.

Also, just found out that Luke Kornet is out at least a month.

We appear to be a bit snake bit.

On Justice, I have heard that if the NCAA allows him a medical redshirt, we'll use it. If not, he will try and get better and hopefully will be available late in the season.

Well the NCAA rules don't even allow you to apply for a medical redshirt during the season. But if he's hurt it should be pretty routine to eventually get it.

Can't apply until the year is over.. As long as it's a legitimate injury and play in less than 30% of the overall games,, should qualify..
