Never let CTB field punts again. He’s complete trash back there.

Frost was going to chew his ***. Britt kept walking away from his coach. Disrespectful bastard. I know what I’d do but I’m not Frost.

Disagree, he's easily the most dynamic player we can put back there. Give him one more chance. I'd rather have someone who can do more than fair catch every punt.
We have a walk on RB who could do as much with a return and would actually catch the punts.

That was a weird bounce. I'm not going to be overly critical on that. IF he doesn't field that it rolls inside 10 probably

Look at the ball when it’s bouncing. All of our guys are idiots at returner. That bounces a bit more, it hits him in the leg and it’s Fordham ball.

N would do themselves a favor by keeping Betts, Manning and Toure on the field and subbing A. Brown, Nixon, Martin and Hickman. Defenses would have to get off of your running game with those threats on the field.

I hate to sound old but kids today are a bunch of pussies. Gen X last tough generation.
Learning to deal with adversity is important. He's mentioned the desire to make big plays before. He's thinking about creating highlight reel tape for his future in the pros, IMO. Because that is his dominant thought process, he takes stupid risks. Again, IMO. Frosty convinced these kids long ago to not worry about mistakes. It is incredibly flawed.

Wish I could like more. There is no need to see Leiwer and Falk ahead of Brown Manning Martin. Betts still looks hesitant to me but he needs to get some shots

should have been a flag for hit out of bounds on Smothers but that linebacker is damned good.

Here's the thing about CTB. As a senior, he is expected to be a team leader and set the tone for the younger guys, but by him screwing up so often and acting disrespectful to coaches, that is setting a bad example.

We sorely miss leadership from older players that can show younger guys the proper way.

We had 5 true leaders on every 90's team. We haven't had a real leader since.....Dominic Raiola early 2000's??

Can't have a decent team if your best players do not respect the coaches. There is a disciplinary tool available. It's called the bench.

I hate to pick on the younger generation too much, bit it seems like guys say they want to lead, but by example.

I am fine with that and say that that is a given, but there's also a place for some dudes to get up in another dude's face and yell a bit. You take a public tongue lashing, get red in the face and do better because you don't want that s*** again. It's tough to swallow. You're the guy who let everyone down and everyone knows it. Buck up or fold up.

It seems nowadays people are validating the s*** out of each other and making excuses for failure. Results over feelings. I can guarantee top programs like Alabama and Clemson hold players to a higher standard of excellence.

We had WAAAAAY more then 5. Just 5 we’re lucky enough to be called captains

true leaders don’t need titles

your captains don’t need to be the best players. Damian Jackson probably is 1000% the leader than almost anyone on the team

That's because the head coach was a leader. That probably doesn't happen without TO.

Clemson and Alabama recruits are of a different generation entirely

I think CTB will get better throughout the year, but he's certainly had a rough start. His pass coverage is soft, his run support has been atrocious, and he's made 2 boneheaded plays on special teams. He should be a leader for the team, or at least the defense, and it doesn't look like he was prepared to start the year.

That makes too much sense. Plus that would mean that walk ONS and guys not as talented who practice hard as hell would not play. No way would they do that. Not the Nebraska way...

If he was anything close to a draft pick, he wouldn’t be back this year

Thats an opinion. Mine is that he will be a draft pick this year and probably would've been a low pick last year. We will find out soon enough....
