God has a plan for me. I want to thank everyone for the success I have had a Mississippi state. I want to thank my teammates, the coaches, and the best fans in the world for this wonderful journey. I will never forget the fun times we had. #HailState pic.twitter.com/a1bjDaCAUx— Cam Dantzler (@camdantzler3) December 6, 2019

Unclear on if he is playing in the bowl game or not. Not a surprise, he's been a really good player for us the last few years. Should be a 2nd or 3rd round pick, could work his way into the 1st round if he works out well. Wish him the best.

He has been great for us but I hope he doesnt hire an agent. I'm not sure he will be a 3rd round pick but I guess he might. Going and getting paid is what it's all about.

There’s some projections that have him late first round possibly. He should go in the draft.

I don’t think he’s ready but good luck to him.

I’m not sure what more he could do to be ready. He’s already one of the best corners in the SEC and has battled injuries this year. To me it feels like coming back could’ve only hurt his stock. He also now has an infant son. So now was probably the time.

Good for him. Can't wait for all the people that will never make the money he will in 3 years in their lifetime say "he's not ready".

I don’t love the idea of him skipping the bowl game, but I guess we have to get used to not having him anyway. And he did already miss three games this year.

The era of Emerson, Jones, and Williams starts now. Those guys should be our starting corners the next 2-3 years so that continuity will be good.

I know if he was my son and could go 3rd or better I would tell him to go get it. That is definitely the goal. I'm sure he will get his assessment done and see where they project him to go.

Assuming they're top 100 picks, I'm all for our guys leaving early. I want what's best for them, and the more State guys in the NFL the better for recruiting. I'm also fine with him skipping the bowl game. He should focus on his professional career. Give other guys practice and game reps. The outcome of the game isn't critical, and few players outside of the quarterback position are worth more than 1.5 points on the scoreboard.

JoMo adds another reason to his list for losing the bowl game

Maybe it is just me but he did not seem to have that strong of a year this year. Wish him the best but I would think there are at least 5-6 better CBs out there.

Normally I would not be a fan of not playing the bowl game but neither Dantzler or MSU has a tremendous amount to gain by playing and beating another 6-6 team in the Liberty or Music City Bowl. Getting more snaps for the guys that we know will be here next year is the most important thing.

Oh lord prepare to be **** on. Some people on here think losing the Liberty Bowl is like we lost the national championship.

It’s not, but this coaching staff really needs a win in the bowl just to ease some of the tension around the program.

Now last year I was glad to see Simmons and Sweat play in the Outback bowl because we had never been to that bowl, we were playing a traditionally decent Big 10 team, and had a chance to end the year ranked with 9 wins (which we blew). There were at least some stakes there.

We need to win if at all possible but all that extra practice is the most important thing. I just wonder who is gonna be next to declare for the draft.

Although I don't like our guys setting a culture of opting out of bowl games....

it's in our best interest for our talented young guys to get the full reps and game experience in preparation for next year.

Yeah but if an SEC West team can't beat another .500 non-SEC team while missing one player then we are in even deeper **** than I thought.
