Just to be clear, your opinion is that gambling on games by players, coaches, owners, gas, etc. should be completely legal. Do I have that right?
betting on your own team to win should be completely legal, yes.

just like in boxing/combat sports/horse racing.

Good examples, because those sports have never had any accusations of competitive impropriety.

the NBA literally had a ref go to jail for fixing games despite the league's insistence on banning gambling. he did it, got caught doing it, confessed to doing it & told everyone who wanted to hear all the details about doing it.

multiple books, documentaries, etc., in addition to a judge saying 'guilty' on the subject of competitive integrity being completely out the window for decades in the league had seemingly zero impact on the league's ability to continue & grow rapidly

this all happened in the 2000s. nobody cares. the NBA has never been more popular or profitable.

it should not only be perfectly legal to bet ON YOUR TEAM TO WIN, it should be encouraged!

Get a DUI and see if your boss reasons it away with - “hey, it’s bad but has nothing to do with your job, so see you tomorrow.”

brilliant
Know people who have. They didn’t lose their job. Honestly don’t know anyone who has lost their job for a DUI

also love how you totally ignored the part main part of my post that really debunks any of your argument.

but in stead you make stupid bases claims about my work place and you don’t know me at all. And you end it up with a one-liner to look cool. Thanks for that “cool guy”

insider trading and betting on your team to win are not even remotely in the same stratosphere.

the fact you think you're profound with that comparison makes me wonder how in hell you can even afford the internet.

Insider trading includes at least some privileged knowledge of how things are going to turn out

A player betting on his own team to win a game does not

do you seriously not understand this outrageously simple distinction?

the NFL: come to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, hosted by the home town Raiders & sponsored by MGM, Caesar's, DraftKings, FanDuel & more!

also the NFL: instant 1-year suspension for betting a meager sum ON your own team as part of an 8-team parlay while you're on IR.

classic
You realize there s no way players can bet on a sport they play right? If you do not understand why well that says a lot about yore post.

Also the money from these deals the NFL makes does come back to the players as a whole.

So a player who bets on his team or any game at all has no inside information at all? Man if you believe that you are just flat dumb. Sorry to be blunt but wow.

You realize fighters bet on themselves every weekend, right? That is a player betting on a sport they play.

A player betting on his/her team to win is no different than a fighter betting on him/herself.

what insider info do they have? Good gameplan? Confidence? Lol please

did Ridley win his parlays due to insider information? Of course not. There’s none to be had.

all of you idiots are leaving out the most important part - betting TO WIN should be perfectly legal

bet against your team and it’s instant jail for life for all the reasons you weenies have laid out.

You think pro athletes are batting 1.000 when it comes to gambling on any game because of ‘insider knowledge’

and I’m dumb?

😂🤣😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

step 1: learn how to think
step 2: learn how to read
step 3: apply steps 1 and 2 to my post

Imagine being as ignorant on any topic as @IM4NUalways is on this one

flat out believing players have insider knowledge when gambling on sports in a thread where the main subject is a player who placed 3 losing bets on his own sport

incredible

Every player in the NFL has inside information on any team they play. Every game every time.

Nice try though.

but they don't win every game, do they? so, how does this factor into the discussion at all?

players betting on their teams TO WIN should be legal.

a major American professional sports league was caught fixing games this century and it did nothing to impact the popularity of the league, so spare me the 'sanctity of competition' argument, which has proven to be false.

I cannot even reply to yore stupidity anymore on this subject. You do not understand it so good luck in that. Enjoy the day.
you have provided ZERO in terms of an argument to my points. you've just called me stupid while ironically showing your own *** to the board.

why is that? speak intelligently, I implore you. I'd like to hear an actual argument against my point, which is again:

PLAYERS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BET ON THEIR OWN TEAM TO WIN GAMES
