Cal's super hypocrisy

Early this week I read an article by Cal that I actually thought made a very good point. Basically, he was pointing out that allowing foreign eligible pro players to take a college roster spot was robbing High School recruits of the opportunity. In fact, he stated that imagine you have worked hard as a High School student to develop skills but perhaps were still in development only to Not have a spot available because it was taken by the latter and how terrible. OK, a good discussion.

Then the very NEXT DAY, he signs Miikka Muurinen. Now I don't blame him except it points out, given his comment the day before, what hypocrisy this guys has.

I dunno.

I mean you can be of an opinion and also play by the rules of the existing rules.

Cal has always felt things that was counter to what would benefit him. Pushing players to the NBA for example.

At the end of the day tho even Cal knows he's paid to win basketball games and signing these players helps him do so.

Yes. You can not agree with the rules and lobby for a change. But you still have to use how it is.

Miikka is 19 years old. Same age as many college freshman. I think he’s referring to overseas guys that are 22-23 years old and have been playing pro ball for 3-4 years.
