My God you are whistling a different tune that a few weeks ago. Cal is a HOF coach! How can he be doing piss-poor coaching? He's a Hall of Famer for goodness sake!
Not only are you an awful troll, but you're also an idiot. I'm pretty sure Calipari recruited a couple good shooters in Mulder and Murray just in 2015, and he also has a guy shooting 40% from 3 in Monk signed for 2016.

It's kind of hard to win when refs were literally giving the team points by allowing Wisconsin to score on two illegal plays. Call the shot clock violation and there's your ball game.

So we weren't more than 4 points better than ANYONE in the country last year? Cmon dude ... we didn't score for close to 5 minutes, we were the best in the country last year by a MILE.

Tonight isn't the time for this discussion, Mu.

We looked like crap, and all the people who hate Cal and all the rival fans with accounts are out for blood. Reasonable discussion is going to have to wait.

Who knows? Maybe they are right, and we totally suck, but I think it is more likely that this is just a young team that hasn't quite figured out how hard they need to play every game yet.

Anyway, that discussion will have to wait until the bloodbath ends. Give it a couple of days and try again.

That's a misplaced post. There are lots of good honest discussions going around.

The problem is tonight we cut the lead to 58-54 on a reverse by Poythress and thought we were ready for a run with 9 minutes to go. Only down 4 without Lee and Poythress playing terrible and NO Labissiere in the middle again. So we have two options in Murray and Ulis. We could have won this game if we have some power underneath. Really, not that impressed with LSU we were still down only 7 with 5 to play as bad as we looked tonight. Just like the 1st half when Willis hits the 3 to cut it to 25-20 only down 5 and Poythress Slam Dunk at the 3 min. mark made it 27-22 and you would have thought a run was coming only down 5 with 3 min to go in half. Same way in 2nd half when we cut it to 58-54 on the reverse. To be playing that Terrible we were still the game. WE get a 3 by Murray or Ulis and get a run going we are right in the game tonight as bad as we were playing. Need to come out and play good vs. Bama Saturday and get the road win.

This stuff doesn't happen to top programs like UNC/Duke/KU/Mich St/ hell this crap wouldn't fly down the road. Rick would NEVER have a team this soft.
And yet somehow Cal's soft team beats Ricks hardened criminals every time! Darn it! Hard to explain, no?

I'm starting to think you're not really very Big.....

I agree that was embarrassing but we lack a front line. Take away Poy and Lee and you see what you get.

Lots of people say play willis, but with him and Skal the lead got pushed to 18.

If beating UL is your national championship then I can definitely see where you would be as happy as a pig in mud. Its not my national championship.

You tell me. You are the one that just turned your back on Cal. You went from "he's a hall of fame coach" to "what a poor coaching job. piss poor"
So I say Cal did a poor job and all the sudden that means I turned my back on him? No, it means he didn't do a good job at preparing this team to play road games.
Again, give me your list of coaches.

My list of coaches if they had the talent Cal has had...

- Brad Stevens (was able to get to back to back final fours with nowhere near the amount of talent)
- Billy Donovan (won back to back titles and a predominately football school)
- Tom Izzo (consistency. His teams have ranked in the top 30 in both defensive and offensive efficiency for the past 10 seasons)
- Bruce Pearl (only missed the ncaa tournament twice in his career as a D1 head coach.)

* Again, these are guys I would take if they had the talent that Cal has enjoyed

I would take cal! One game and your ready to jump. Brad would be gone by now to the pros, look at Donavan had some great years but also some very down years, how many crowns has Izzo won one, out of how many final fours? and the way they scrutinize ky a cheater that slimy pearl has NO business at uk. Of the four coaches how many NC. Yes Cal is one of the greatest coaches. So quit complaining. Gbb

Hilarious to see people bash Cal for "only" winning 1 title in 4 trips to the Final Four at UK while praising Izzo who has won 1 title in 7 trips to the Final Four at MSU.

This is the delicate line that gets walked with our OND system. I don't think I'll ever be fully on board with it, but I've learned to accept it. If you primarily depend of freshman, year after year, then you are going to get mixed results. Not all classes are created equally and as we all know not all 5* players are lottery locks. Every year it's kind of the same thing. Player X is going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, player x doesn't pan out they way we hoped so it goes to player y next year is going be a beast. It's the same cycle, bring in top rated freshman and hope to hell they develop come March, and then when it's said and done say goodbye to them as they enter the draft. As a fan, the system can be difficult to watch and I can't say it any other way. I wouldn't trade Cal for another coach right now, he has the personality to deal with this jobs pressure. In Cals 6 years he's had 3 seasons where we didn't play well during the season, but two of those years we went on big time NCAAT runs which alleviated the stress of 11 and 14. It's just a tough system to run, and it's why he's the only coach whose really chosen to go this route. You have to take the good with the bad. Luckily for UK, Cal has a good record of getting his teams ready come tournament time, so well just have to wait and see at this point.

You all are insane...."not acceptable", "right to be pissed off"....you all have serious issues. You aren't owed anything. It's a game, it's entertainment. It's cultivation of young men. Let me guess, you also live on planet Fox News and are completely out of synch with reality

Great job. Make a valid point and then negate all of your credibility by throwing in an ignorant, dumbass comment about Fox News.

This year you might only be saying bye to Murray & Poy. It doesn't look like Skal's ready but even if he does go, I'm seeing -1 scholarships open for the incoming frosh. It will be interesting to see how Cal manages that year after year.

It's just a tough system to run, and it's why he's the only coach whose really chosen to go this route.
He and K are the only ones that CAN choose to go this route. The next tier of coaches, Roy, Self, Izzo... do not have OND's lined up like Kentucky or Duke.

Hilarious, way to present facts in the most slanted way possible! Is this Sean Hannity? "On our way to being NIT bound for two out 4 years!?" How bout been to final four 4 out of last 5.

Funny how we lose a couple of games we shouldn't and all of a sudden we are NIT bound. The year we went to the NIT, we lost freaking Nerlens Noel mid season. That alone was the primary reason for our tanking the rest of that season. We lost all resemblence of an inside presence.

Now. I know this team has some big issues, but we are also only 2 games into the conference season and have a full 2 months to improve and progress. We aren't losing every single road game. We played really well against Ole Miss. I know they aren't top tier by any means, but we looked decent in that win. I don't know how far we will go in the tourney, but no way are we going to the NIT.
