Lol, looks like your sources were wrong! PJ is back! Let's get #9!

I'm still hearing the same info I received yesterday morning. I asked my source for an update today, and I was told the same thing - that Washington is without question done for the year. I'm still kind of in denial mode and hoping somehow he's wrong.

I asked the guy giving me this information where he was getting his info from, and I found out that it's coming from one of the assistant coaches and a team doctor. The only thing that gives me hope that somehow there was some type of miscommunication is the fact that the assistant coach wouldn't expressly say that PJ is done, but it was inferred.

I'm only passing on information I was told, so please spare me the "you're a troll" banter. I'm not an insider and rarely ever hear anything you couldn't find on a public message board.

I'm just hoping Cal comes out with a definitive answer to this question when he releases a statement on the situation in an hour. I don't want another situation like JV or RT where we're given vague answers as to the status of their health.

Why do folks even believe "sources" on here. Anyone can claim to be a "source" and be 50/50 right

Generally people are starved for any information, particularly at this time of year and with something as monumental as an injury to a star player.

I don't have a problem with guys coming to the board with something they heard. Lexington's a small town, people talk, I get it. But usually the problem comes in with the way the poster treats that source.

We're not Woodward and Bernstein on here. Telling members where you got your information isn't going to change the anonymity of the source if you do it carefully.

I was in a position once about 20 years ago to find out who a source was, and I think some others who probably post on here got that same information. (And it wasn't the UK assistant under Gillispie. Different situation.) In that case I understand not giving a name, but the poster was so cagey about how he talked about the source that he just brought down more strife and doubt upon his head.

There are a lot of rival trolls posing as UK fans on here.......... so you always should take everything with a large grain of salt. Sometimes the info from old and more trusted posters turn out false or just nothing more than hearsay..

1. B-plus for owning up to being wrong
2. F for being gullible enough to believe someone who was so obviously lying or being fooled himself, and posting that BS here. For future reference: Everyone likes to pretend to have 'insider information.' IT is actually quite rare.

Well, I will say, the guy I was talking to does talk to some people close to the program (I know that for a fact). I think in this case though, he read too much into the situation and was drawing some of his own conclusions. He texted me yesterday and told me more about the situation and sounded more like he thought PJ would play.

Also, I only shared what I had heard as he's given me a lot of info that's been right (this is the 2nd time he's been wrong). Also, the only reason I shared was because that some UK fans were being labeled as trolls for simply sharing what they had heard, not so I could pretend to be an "insider".

Yesterday there were so many new accounts started to post their "insider" info. Of course they are no where to be found today. OP thanks coming back and explaining.

I had very significant inside info on one specific matter and I was told I couldn’t tell anyone and specifically told I could not repeat the info on Rupp Rafters. If someone is a good source and wants to continue getting priviliged info, they won’t run their mouths.

At one time I had info that came straight from Brad Calipari, but I never posted it and nobody had to tell me not to. Sometimes you just have to use common sense.
