Here’s your chance to admit…..
The clown needs to go.
And no, I don’t care if we pull off a miracle and win.
Well if they do that they wouldn't be "Cal Defenders" anymore! But seriously that whole "I care more about getting guys into the NBA than winning championships) has gotten WAY old. Even my mentor Lance Blue (who strongly resembles Brad Paisley! No fooling!) who was one of my teachers at the time in 1996-98 (and now a vice principal of that same school, Daviess County) who was a big time UK superfan (his classroom had the calendar posters, Jamal Mashburn Mavericks poster and everything) and was the one who inspired me to want to go to UK in the first place (though he himself went to Murray State) has told me himself that he like myself doesn't follow UK basketball nearly as "religiously" as he did not all that long ago. Though I reckon I've always been WAY more fascinated by UK basketball history (and sports history in general) anyway (that was one of my majors at UK too, the other being political science).
Bottom line is, we need a KENTUCKY FIRST coach. Yeah we gotta get those five star blue chippers like anyone else but at the same time promote the idea of being at UK for the full four years and make it more attractive for fellow Kentuckians. After all, it's not a coincidence that the VAST majority of our most legendary players in the 20th century were home grown Kentuckians. And you see how our lack of NCAA tournament experience (what do you expect when you get too many one year wonders?) is really catching up with us. My dearly departed wife (who was from Greater Boston and was a big time Red Sox fan) didn't like how players at UK could only stuck around for 3-4 years at most and imagine how even more so that is when we can't even get players to stay for two years.
