Long suffering Bengals fan so I can relate. Time may make feel different but UK is a passion I've had since a kid. He's killing it. It;s obvious he is not the coach that came to UK. Not even close.
If he's back, it will ugly like he;s never seem and it shoould be. 10 mil a year and thos it how it goes? Forget it. Send him home tonight for all I care.
Idk what to think right now . We have never had a loss this bad in the Tournament so I had zero worries . I even figured we would come out of the half and turn it up . Once it hit the 10 minute mark I knew we were in legit trouble .
I’ll watch with or without Cal but I don’t see how anyone can defend Cal right now . I have been bout as neutral on Cal as you can be but damn this one hurt

I will watch too, but I sure wish I could watch with someone else coaching so at least I could imagine SOMETHING might change — you know? Would be more fun to lose but have hope things would get better.
I haven't posted here in 3 years, not that anyone missed anything insightful. Still, I was still really butthurt from the 2015 Wisconsin game and still am. I gave Cal more time to see if he could get things figured out, but I figured it out.
AD and MKG aren't walking through the door. This is the first time I have watched a game since the end of 2019. I truly do thank Cal for all he has done, especially after BCG and what he has done for the community as well, but I made up my mind then that I was done and tuned in tonight to see Oscar play in all reality, but still saw the exact same reasons why I stopped 3 years ago. My heart just can't take it.

Wasn't right after the Kansas game about the time that the SS talk really ramped up?
He made a good adjustment on 1 possession, putting wheeler in the middle of the zone to get the ball to Oscar. Other than that he was out coached. I would also like to see the 3 man weave offense disappear. Some changes need to be made, but I don't know if Cal leaving is one of them. I am disappointed we lost and thought the players fought hard. Just wasn't our night

Yep, I'm done with him. You absolutely cannot follow up last year with this. We've got a five star in Clark who decommitted, another just sitting on the bench buying time until the Draft, Cal playing with an outdated system and making the same mistakes as if he's been coaching for less than three years. Not to mention the constant snarky remarks toward the fans. You can no longer say things like "who would you get that's better?" And I'm sure if he left, he'd suddenly find that fire again to prove everyone wrong and kill it somewhere else, but that fire ain't coming back here. We got an amazing draw and couldn't get out of the first ******* day. Against a school named St Peters no less.
I thought UK spending another 2mil a year for the assistant coaches was everything we needed to start winning titles again…
Ive defended Cal 100% of his time here, and have always supported him. But, I think it may be time for him to leave. Most of our guys just don’t come ready to play, and that’s on Cal. I’m ready for a change.

I have been a big Cal defender. Tonight, is something that I will have to digest for a while. The play of some of our guys over last the 4 or 5 games compared to say, the Kansas game, has dropped off a cliff. I remember being amazed at how smooth and cool TyTy was during most of the season. He has been very average lately and seemed to be forcing things. Tonight , he was a liability.
Mintz, Grady and Brooks haven't played well for quite a while also. Wheeler has also had issues lately. Oscar has been the one constant and what a joy it has been to watch him. Somewhere, we lost our momentum as a team and that goes back to the coach. What happened, I don't know, but again it all goes back to the coach. I will support UK forever, but I have just been gutpunched and not sure who to hit back at.
