Since coaching change talk is rampant and it looks like several high profile jobs might be opening up I thought it might be entertaining to predict how the dust settles. If nothing else, it might be fun to look back on in a couple months.

Florida: Dan Mullen
Tennessee: Bobby Petrino
Ole Miss: Lane Kiffen
UCLA: Chip Kelly
Nebraska: Scott Frost

Any others? Possibly aTm, Arkansas or Mizzou?

Can Frost just coach all 8 at once? This will turn into a scheduling nightmare when all of his teams face off in the 8 team playoff he forces the NCAA to go to.

I'll add, I'm really not a Frost or best guy, in fact it's not where I would start, but the drum seems to be beating pretty loud for him, so that's the safe bet.

Also, with all these big time programs looking for coaches, this might not be a great year to be in the market for a new head coach, but it is what it is.

I think those are good guesstimates. However, I dont think even Lane Kiffin will touch the Ole Miss job. I think itll be a younger, less known guy. I think Arkansas will most likely be open, too. No one really jumps to mind to take that job, though

Kiffen was a total shot in the dark, really had no idea. Maybe a guy like Blake Anderson or Wille Fritz would take a shot on Ole Miss.

I'm surprised fhcBP doesn't pop in to your mind when discussing coaching vacancies.

Kinda strange you do not like Frost when he seems to be the hot prospect or at least among the hottest prospects available - what's the matter you do not like coaches with a Nebraska background or something?

Where did I say that? I have already said they need to hire Frost. My reason may be different, but why that matters is a moot point.

Some people have visions of Dirk Chatelain( the first time Frost loses a game as NU's coach} asking Scottie why he hid in the closet while LP beat the hell out of his girlfriend.

Sounds like we wasted a million bucks a year on Moos if he is just listening to drums. And BTW, lots of fans not on this board aren’t into beating drums.

He has a big job and I do think he is his own man. Just explaining why I picked who I did. Care to share your picks, then?

But they are about to go on probation, which means he will have to recruit fewer players, could probably do it from his car.
That's cute you still think that's how the NCAA works!
I don't mean any offense, but NCAA is a joke. I've heard franklin at penn state violated rules while on probation and didn't get in trouble.
Plus it's the sec.

Don't sleep on South Dakota coach perhaps getting a look somewhere. Power five might be a stretch but he's done some impressive stuff his last two jobs.
Not endorsing him here just sayin.

Until he loses a couple the expert fans say he "shouldn't". But hopefully then at least he will get some support and time.
Will you be one of those fans? Doesn't seem like you really like him, which is fine if it's for reasons other than that he played here.
And why are you concerned with the fan base being united when you are constantly trying to divide people and throw crap around/troll on this board?
It's a serious question you obviously aren't exactly mr. peace around here. (I'm not either).
And do you think Riley didn't get enough time?

Because it is ******* miserable going to games and listening to people question every single thing. People are so damn butthurt. And Yes, I like to do the same crap the other way (it's really annoying isn't it)

Do you think Riley has had enough time based on his tenure thus far?

After Callahan, Pelini and Riley most of us are hoping for a great hire as the next head coach. The more I think about it the more concerned I get that Moos will make another lackluster hire. Somebody like Dino Barber or Dan Mullen. I wrote 3 years ago that Nebraska had a great opportunity to improve itself. Then Eichorst fumbled by hiring Riley. I sure hope Moos doesn't repeat history. The next head coach maybe the most important hire in the history of Nebraska football.

He has stated a few times he is ok with the Frost hire if it happens. His shot is against those fans that say they will allow some losses and even losing seasons because Scott is a Nebraska guy. And that's where we agree.....can't complain about Riley now and not Frost later if things go south just because he's a Nebraska kid. The program has to come first no matter who the coach is and if we accept mediocrity (yep I said it lol) then lets just get rid of football all together and get more parking for the university.

Bingo. Pave paradise, and put up a parking lot.
