I think we have known for a while.

I do believe Boston will be just one level below AD, but at the same level as Wall. (yes I said it!)

With Clarke not too far behind.

With Sarr and Brooks, they'll be elite-level talent. I really hope. FULL season! Let Cal work his magic for a whole season. Not just conference game BS.

I think last year he said we had a great shooting team. So not sure I would go all in at this time.

we started out really rough in three, but we ended improving a lot by the end of the season. (conference 37.3%, 2nd in conference)

Also, we were best FT shooting team (2nd overall in % and 1st in made), and that made it kind of silly also to focus on three a lot. We made most FT in the nation.

So, yeah we were REALLY good shooting team.

Amazing how we (me too) often perceive a team based on several games in Dec & early Jan. Like you, it felt like the team wasn't a very good shooting team. But, like someone has already pointed out, last year's team ended up being a good shooting team based on statistics.
Cal doesn't usually overhype a team. I think he's really giddy about this team ... especially if Sarr is eligible.

To be fair, we were a "good shooting team" with regards to three pointers only because of 2 guys - Quickley and Sestina. Maxey was disappointing from three, Hagans was bad, Brooks didn't take many and didn't make many of the ones he took (hoping 2/2 in his last game wasn't a fluke), and Juzang was a thoroughly disappointing 27% before hitting 4/6 over his last two games. I wouldn't call us a good shooting team so much as a team with 2 really good shooters. Now, yes, somehow we were an EXCELLENT free throw shooting team despite those guys knocking down 15 footers not being able to hit a 21 footer.

Starting 5, IMHO:

Option 1 Boston- first composite top 5 player since 2015.
Option 2 Clark- composite top 10 player.
Option 3 Sarr- All-ACC, proven scorer.
Option 4 Brooks- showed flashes last year.
Option 5 Mintz- experienced PG (97 games, 79 starts).

Askew could replace Mintz, but it’s nice to have an experienced option like Mintz in case Askew is not quite ready yet.

Just wait until we get beat by a team that we shouldn't lose to and he will be saying how young they are. [laughing]
Well, they aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

We were really really good and really young in 2010 and it took a last second shot to beat Miami of Ohio, and Stanford had a monumental collapse in the last minute to let us sneak out with that game as well.

I'll take my boys at KU in this match-up.

First game of the season and none of our guys will have played a second of D-1 ball together before that game, while you guys have a bunch of Juniors and Seniors returning. I would hope you guys would feel confident. Now if we play again in March, it might be a different story.

Just think we have too much experience and talent to lose this one be it first game of the season or in March. Our biggest question mark will be in the post, but even there with McCormack, De Sousa, Lightfoot and 5 fouls out of Muscadin the advantage tilts to KU.

A program facing five Level 1 NCAA Infractions shouldn't even be allowed on the floor. What a damned disgrace to constantly be caught breaking the rules.

The only match-up worth talking about with Kansas is versus the NCAA - and whether cheating will triumph yet again.

I get the experience part of your quote, but talent? UK is gonna have two lottery picks who may both be top 5. How the hell does Kansas have more talent?

Not looking good in watching this team play!
Probably delay or cancel this season then half will go pro!

This is my biggest fear. If the season gets cut short or not even played, most of the top 25 kids will enter next year's draft without playing a game in college. I want to see Thompson play at KU and would enjoy watching Agbaji and Garrett play their final year at KU.

College talent. The NBA game is completely different. Kentucky has more NBA talent, but that talent has no experience playing college ball. We are loaded at guard and forward with experience and talent.

Come March, young players will click offensively, but defense always lags.

THIS . If there is a season ( which I think there will be) UK isn't losing more then 2-3 times.
