That’s how I remember it too. There are a handful of guys here now defending everything Cal does or says. But, there was a whole army of rabid TLT zealots here trying to make excuses for his decline & labeling ppl as racists at every opportunity. The Superfriends buried their heads in the sand & didn’t WANT to see the truth. And, they were constantly on the attack. There were probably 10-15 TLT Superfriends for each Cal nut hugger here now.

I completely understand being loyal to a coach & I am myself, to a certain extent. But, some fans are seemingly more loyal to the coach than the school & are more than happy to let the program burn to the ground before they’ll recognize & admit that we might need a change. Yet, they are the first ones to accuse ppl of not being real fans. The irony is hilarious.
I couldn’t have said it better myself . I had an uncle that would practically fight you if you complained about Tubby because .........Tubby autographed a basketball for him . He kept it on his fireplace mantle .

its called embarrassing loss / play fatigue. if the one and done was doing what it did in the first 5 years... we'd be fine with it
The overall quality of players and the number of top quality players are not there anymore. Those that are truly a John Wall or Cousin are not out there anymore year in and out. Duke has gotten more of those than us. We don’t have the quality of asst coaches either anymore. Gone are the days of Strickland to help develop the point guards. Gone are the days of Orlando Antigua and Robic’s involvement to help recruit and coach. You think I’m wrong? Maybe. But since they have been gone how many Final Four’s have we been too? How many top 5 players have we gotten??? I’m afraid from listening to Cal is that he is giving in to a player or two to give them more playing time and shots to help recruiting than anything. Oh yeah we still don’t have a point guard and haven’t since Ullis and even then he had difficulty beating people off the dribble to get in the paint to help the offense go that Calipari relied upon early on.

I don't disagree at all I was just saying if it's going to be all one and dones they literally need to be the 5 best ones in the country every year. I've said til I was blue in the face that DLamb is the most important player of the Cal era in terms of on court wins. He get no credit for being the the leading scorer, the bucket getter, free throws, 3pt's, etc....

A fellow admirer of DLamb? Sounds like we completely agree there, I feel like everyone on that 2012 team other than Davis gets underrated at times but DLamb is yes his most important player. Unfortunately Coach Cal doesn’t agree.

I feel like if K couldn’t go far with the 1, 2 and 3 recruits and Calipari’s got that one very unique run to show for his many fantastic recruiting classes, it should be evident that the one and dones will not get it done on their own.

Losing fatigue. 1-5 no matter how much you like Coach Cal is unacceptable. This is Kentucky. That was an acceptable excuse back in 1926 when the team was made up of mostly football players. I've tried to be patient because of the youth and inexperience, but even my patience is wearing thin(not that my singular impatience matters).
Problem is buddy it just isn't your impatience I know there are a lot more fans including myself that are with you!
